The voucher code wasn't working at first so I contacted PRC Direct & they've now fixed it.

I feel like this is currently the best deal avaliable right now on a 55" LG OLED since the Ebay voucher has now expired on the C1.

£836.10 is the lowest I've seen the B2 to date, hope this helps someone!

True darkness brings the light.
LG OLED pixels light up independently with no backlight to dull their glow. Now, dark areas are perfectly black with no light bleed or halo effect. Envision a crisp picture with unmatched depth.

Beauty meets brains.
The brains behind the beauty. Following deep learning advancements, LG's α7 Gen 5 AI Processor enhances objects in the foreground and background to add natural depth, and makes colours spectacularly vivid yet accurate.

Dazzling darks, luminous lights.
With no backlight to dull their impact,self-lit pixels achieve the deepest blacks for crisp contrast in every light. Visuals are more defined, so you can make out subtle details your eyes usually miss.

Punchier picture quality.
Dynamic Tone Mapping uses the α7 Gen 5 AI Processor to detect what's in the frame and apply the optimal tone curve. The result is natural HDR, deep contrast, and intricate detail.

Hear them coming in on you.
The α7 Gen 5 AI Processor up-mixes 2-channel audio into virtual 5.1.2 channel sound. Feel the action and chaos around you as you venture deeper into your game world.

Don't get a Samsung, burn in a big problem allegedly reported today .

According to this, LG cited RTINGS as the source of screen-burn issue being worse on the Samsung QD-OLED panel than LG's own G2 using RTINGS's accelerated longevity test. Comparing both the A95K and the S95B to the LG G2 and the former two seems to have visible slight burn-in marks compared to the LG, especially in 50% Grey and Red colours.

    A95K: rtings.com/tv/reviews/sony/a95k-oled
    S95B: rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/s95b-oled
    G2: rtings.com/tv/reviews/lg/g2-oled

Keep in mind that this is an accelerated test running the same contents over and over again for long hours at max brightness and not representative of normal usage.
Each TV is on for a total of 20 hours per day on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, and they cycle on and off multiple times per day. On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, they're on for a total of 15.5 hours, to allow time for all OLED TVs to run their panel compensation cycles.
    rtings.com/tv/tests/longevity-test
They're on an average of 18 hours per day, 7 days a week, essentially they're on for more than most people are awake.

In month 2 of the test, we see the results that QD-OLED panels are more susceptible to burn-in than LG's WOLEDs. Though as long as you're not watching content with static elements for too long I doubt this will be an issue if at all.

49676271_1.jpgLG G2; 50% Grey; month 02; RTINGS accelerated longevity test.

The only burned-in elements are static news scroll, and although you can't yet see it with the naked eye, the LG G2 also has slight signs of the same elements burned-in as well. Below is an adjusted hyper-leveled of the same LG G2 RTINGS 50% Grey image to reveal more details:
49676271_1.jpgLG G2; 50% Grey; month 02; RTINGS accelerated longevity test; boosted details.

In conclusion, yes, it appears that QD-OLED is more susceptible to burn-in than WOLEDs are at Max brightness (results may differ if brightness is controlled). Are WOLEDs unaffected? No. Is it a "major" burn-in problem? I don't think so and not for either of them. Especially not under normal usage hours, normal content, and viewing at a more reasonable brightness. So, as usual, don't abuse your OLEDs and you'll be fine. (edited)

Still in mind to be patient for an OLED. Think we will start seeing prices come down shortly.

They have from what they we're years ago.

Can't go wrong with an oled. I've got 3 b7 CX and a c1 and they are superb tvs

    This or C1?
    gummby's avatar
How many HDMI 2.1 ports do you need? B2 only has 2? C1 has 4. So this could limit use of PS5 and Xbox. If you don't game not an issue.

This year's "3" model isn't much different than the b/c 2 models from what I can tell.

Wow Currys really charging £1099 for this. They really are not interested in what others charge these days or just price matching via CS. Love the way Currys say must end Tuesday It's like you are getting a great deal. Not!
    Rahulvash26's avatar
You can price match with Currys. Contact them via web chat. I was given the price match code already , but I resisted to see any further reductions on C1 then 830ish.

Why would anyone want to get curry’s to price match ? I’d rather stay clear of curry’s at all cost. Staff hang about in groups chatting , dossing and ignoring any browsing customers. Really bad.
