LIGHT UP YOUR WORLD with SELF-LIT PiXELS
LG OLED TV is a joy to behold. Self-lit pixels allow truly spectacular picture quality and a whole host of design possibilities, while the latest cutting-edge technologies help deliver unprecedented levels of wonder. This is everything you love about TV — elevated in every way.

What makes OLED unlike anything else?
The answer is self-lit pixels. A self-luminous display technology that makes all the difference to your viewing experience. Unlike LED TVs that are restricted by backlight technology, LG OLED TVs are capable of extreme realism and unique designs.

SELF-LIT PiXELS.
100 million reasons to love OLED.
When it comes to picture quality, OLED beats LED hands down. That's because OLED has millions of self-lit pixels capable of producing perfect black and accurate colour. The result is a viewing experience like no other.

100% Colour Fidelity
OLED passes with flying colours.
Global testing agency Intertek has confirmed that LG OLED displays have 100% colour fidelity. This means that the colours you see on the screen closely match the colours of the original image. So everything you watch looks as the creator intended.

100% Colour Volume
A dazzling display of colour.
LG OLED TVs achieve full Colour Volume thanks to the excellent colour reproduction technology of LG TVs. With 100% Colour Volume, LG OLED can express 100% of the DCI-P3 spectrum across a 3D colour space that covers the TV's full luminance range. This means that colours remain vivid and lifelike with full saturation no matter how bright or dark the display.

OLED Gaming.
It's game over for the competition.
LG OLED TV puts you ahead of the game with swift response, the latest gaming features, and a 120Hz display for a smoother playing experience. This is the ultimate TV for your gaming setup.

If you have an Amex it’s worth checking if you have the 10% back offer. It’s on my gold and platinum cards.

Screen burn putting me off Oleds!
Not spending a big wad of cash on something that might last a year or two.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but all these manufacturer warranties and retailers guarantees do not cover the Achilles Heel of Oled TVs (screen burn)?

To be fair, we got it finally with our B7 screen but that is 7 years old. Our E9 screen which is 4 years old, not a problem yet.

Apparently it was more of a problem with the cheaper and original OLED range like the B7,C7 etc. Newer and bigger spec models not so much an issue…. (edited)

If you have the money, then go for the Sony. However, both are great sets. At £765 the LG is a great price.

Great price. I got lucky with the Marks eBay deal at £724 last week, it's a stunning TV!

For the burn-in concerns, from what I've learnt it only happens when you leave it on the same screen for a long period of time. These screens have screensavers which activate after a few seconds of inactivity so there shouldn't be an issue. (edited)

    Enjoy it while it lasts

Can you return if you don’t like the tv to ME in 14 days or not once it’s opened ?

Not sure. But if they do - they’ll make you pay for returns. Tracked and insured Postage rates for TVs are expensive. Like over £100 and they’ll won’t refund you the full amount paid for the Tv if the product is used.

    Don’t need a wisa, I’m already a resident.

Great price. Finally got burn in (failure of red colour) on our old B755 OLED. Is 7 years old mind. Price quoted to fix was around £200 with 6 month warranty. Better off just buying new again.
    sifer69's avatar
I'd imagine you get a brand new screen - they can't fix OLED burn-in. Seems like a reasonable price for a 'new' OLED TV.

Some C1s are also equipped with evo panel, so you could get lucky and have the same screen burn protectio as C2s
    Diancecht's avatar
I sent two back that had a evo panel, very bad red tint horizontal band at bottom of screen that was noticeable when viewing normal content, suppose to be a common thing with evo panels. Maybe I was just unlucky

I didn’t even want a new telly but finally decided that trying to appreciate 4k on a 40” with my eyes was a joke!
    Supergolo's avatar
then there was someone arguing that 720p is just as good as 4k on their 77” tv the other day…
  13. Chris4891's avatar
Damn - paid £1332 a year ago - wish I’d held out especially as it sat in the box for 8 months!

Do you need to register with LG to activate the 5 Yr warranty?
    Alvie's avatar
No it's provided by Marks Electrical / Domestic and General. your warranty with LG is not 5 years

How does it compare to TCL C835K 55C835K? Was looking at that one earlier, specs seem similar?

    LG OLED over TCL.
  16. rafmoh's avatar
How long is this offer on for?
  17. Amazonianman's avatar
So much better than the hisense nonsense that litters these forums!
    Cheeky2chops's avatar
    And the TCL nonsense?

Good price I just ordered one the other day from Currys for £749 being delivered this Saturday (edited)
    Dadbod's avatar
Did you get a 5 year warranty with that or was it standard 1 year?
  19. Czubaka's avatar
Incredible. I remember paying 1k for BX55 just over 2y ago. Heated
  20. John59's avatar
This is a great deal, but just as awareness the C2 "Evo" panel is not just better because of the brightness, it is supposed to be more resistant to Screen burn-in due to the material used, when I get a chance I will post a link to the article I was reading. If you could find a C2 for not much more than this I would be prepared to pay the extra.

If you can't find a C2 or equivalent with an OLED.EX panel then this should certainly be close to the top of your purchasing list.
    BillRawls's avatar
but screen burn doesn't exist anymore apparently

I didnt need to select amex, I went through TCB on Edge Browser. On checkout I choose payment method i.e credit card, paypal etc. There was no choose card section. Just entered amex details and it went through

    CallumJ97's avatar
How did you manage to do that? In edge it still comes up with the same box asking for card type.
  24. EmilySmith's avatar
Hiya - anyone know how the customer service here compares to that of Richer Sounds - was going to try and ask RS to price beat but they won't accept credit payment for this one, and we've never used Marks before :/
    jack1974uk's avatar
I've never used Marks before but heard the name around here alot. Nothing negative stands out to mind but RS is someone ive dealt with and there CS is top notch imo

While I didn't need this deal it's nice to see I won't need to break the bank if my B8 OLED eventually breaks down. The price of this is in the range of the Hisense TVs people were recommending in 2019 when on a budget.
  29. archrivel's avatar
How much would a 50"-55" c2 (better?) panel cost atm?
  30. sach1636's avatar
Had new TV replaced promptly after I noticed band on dark background.
