Saw this in Costco at the weekend for 1100 and didn't think it seemed bad then saw the leaflet. Needs a Costco membership so factor that in but 5 year warranty. I can't find much in English on this set but seems decent, only thing i noticed is no 3D if that's a factor for you.
You will need a a Costco membership to purchase this item. See here Costco Membership

Wouldn't mine anyone's thoughts in general as I am tempted!

Nope same here but looked nice in the flesh and spec looked good

very tempted as have been looking at a 55", and the slightly bigger size would would work much better on the wall its going on.

Saw this in the leaflet also but lack of reviews have put me off. Not fussed on 3D as i've had it 4 years on this set and used it twice. Sky don't even bother with it much anymore, no football in 3D.

3D not a factor for me, but it looked decent at 1100 for the spec and size. So at this seems cheap but information is scarce.

Might be that Costco just bought a large batch of Czech based LG's to shift. 5 year warranty I know. My Sony 50" was bought from there last year. Has slight clouding issues on it. What is their procedure with faults? Come out and fix or take back in and swap for same model (which they no longer stock) or pay bit more for newer set?

It's super uhd which means it's a 2015 model from what I can see but oddly all the others seem to be 3D.

Given the panel size it wont be an IPS display, it'll be VA based. Nice if you like deep blacks but not so good for viewing angles so depending on how your room is laid so best to see in the flesh or wait for detailed reviews if you're unsure.

I had a 58" plasma that broke. Gave me full refund as said there would be a delay in supplying a new panel and it was nearing xmas (their words). Went straight back and used the money (with small top up) to buy a 60".
Eventually the 60" started showing pink where there should have been whites. This time they had an engineering firm swap the panel.
After a while this tv then failed again, wouldn't turn on, again engineering firm swapped panel.

Might sound like I haven't had much luck here but I'm pretty sure all my future big tv purchases will be at costco due to their excellent concierge service.

UF is LG's 2015 models designation, last years were UB's. 830 is Non 3D, 850 3D

It says its 2015 model on the box, and has a very good picture in the flesh...

I though so when I saw it, did you go for it?

Saw it at Costco today - tempted. Not only impressive in the slow city sweeps, but there was a fast moving skiing scene on the video loop and I couldn't see any down-scaling or drop in picture quality.

The lack of reviews for this set is curious though.

I've decided that I'm going to buy one of these today so I'll report back in later or tomorrow to let you all know how it is.

I almost took the plunge yesterday but saw the picture on an lg oled and might try and stick with my current one for 12 months to see if the oled comes down as the picture was spectacular. Though if your take is good might be swayed again!

I'd it 4k?
20. wozwebs's avatar
It's 4K UHD. Presume it will play Netflix and Amazon Prime in 4k also? Look forward to hearing review from Judge_LED later

TV is up and running. Display is just as good as expected having seen it in the shop. Even managed to utilise the Sky dish from previous owners of the house but with no CI module I couldn't use all the Sky channels... Unless someone knows a way around this? Web OS 2.0 seems fine really intuitive easy to use. Bezel is nice and thin too and this is a massive screen size upgrade for us 32-58 haha! My only gripe is BBC list the device as being supported and signed yet there's no app in the App Store and when browsing to the site using the web browser BBC say the device isn't supported. Other than that a 58" for less than a grand cannot complain! If you all have any more questions just shout, I'll do my best to answer them.

Have you tried Netflix 4K?
23. deleted1380376's avatar
Hi, I already asked LG they dont sell 58" in the UK, of course I told them they did and its at Costco, I bought one on Friday its a fab TV, picture is excellent bought the full motion wall bracket too for around £80 this was discounted couple of months ago but missed that deal, one thing though check they take off the discount as I bought x6 items and x5 were not discounted only noticed because of £150 is something you would miss! back to the TV its a really good TV you wont be disappointed!

Unfortunately I can't really test Netflix 4k because our internet connection is terrible at best!

got lucky and picked a 58uf830v today for £640 ex display. had a 2014 lg ips 4k tv before and the improvement is amazing, perfect blacks very good contrast and HDR 4k playback is incredible, LG should make more va panel tvs as the ips displays are seriously lacking in contrast. On this new tv the black level is almost oled quality I'm very impressed
