Got one of these heart rate monitors this morning. Just back from the gym. Don't know how accurate the monitors on the gym stuff is (the staff didn't seem to know either) but the cross trainer measured within 1 point of the lidl monitor and the bike was within 3 (bike measured less than lidl monitor and cross trainer was up and down).

Easy to set up and seem fairly accurate so well worth £15 (as long as it lasts).

I know there more expensive, but can't you just get a watch that measures the heart rate - seems less cumbersome than a belt

water resistant ... that doesn't mean water proof, right? ... it says 3 bar (which would mean up to 30 meter water depth), but is it usable for swimmers? ...
