I'm a same day courier, so it goes everywhere with me, acting as a personal wifi hotspot for the kit in the van, for the apps I use which require customer sigs and photos, dual SIM action, both available for 5G (some sites I visit have no 3 coverage, so the 99p back up Lebara SIM does the heavy lifting in those cases).
I live right on top of a 5G mast from 3, and easily get 1.5GB download speeds.
For a budget back up or even a day to day phone cannot recommend it enough. Updated to Android 13 recently too.
Battery life easily sees you through a day, and charges quickly

Notifications - The status bar (top of the screen) kept going blank, and would not display notification icons consistently. Rebooting the phone brought them back for a bit, but it would stop displaying them again after a few hours.
Screen: Very similar screen to the POCO F3, but the colour cast is far too blue, even when set to the warmest available colour. Eye comfort mode helped with this, but made some colours look odd, and affected peak brightness.
Fingerprint sensor: The optical sensor kept failing to light up to read my fingerprint. It would display the animation but not light up the area correctly, so it keeps failing to get a reading. Turning display off and on fixes it for a bit, but it was happening far too regularly. Much prefer the side fingerprint reader of the POCO, which has never failed.
Heat when in use: Mine had slowed to a crawl a couple of times, with obvious heating towards the top of the handset when this happened. It also displayed "phone too hot" when trying to launch some of the features.
Looks like I'll be keeping the F3 for another year, unless the F5 gets anywhere close to £200. (edited)
Gone for the Oppo Reno8 Lite 5G.
Been literally skulking mobile phone offers on hotukd for almost a year and had enough. This will do especially if Quidco cashback goes through.
Been getting lots of updates on mine
Im really impressed with mine, the build quality is excellent, lovely screen, takes great photos and the processor is very quick.
This phone was over £500 brand new, not so many months ago.
This initial goodybag isn't refundable and you can only cancel it by returning the phone itself with the SIM card unused. (edited)
Do you still need to buy a top up?
Just use it for the month and make sure to cancel the recurring payment.
With the cashback really nothing touching for value, went for the Reno8 lite myself.
I've messaged their support to make sure I'm not going to get hit next month, will report back what they tell me
