Got it for £13.97 and it’s not brilliant, still tastes plasticky after several uses. But for £14 didn’t expect much. As for saying it makes 4 cups it actually makes enough for 2 mugs. (edited)

I know that taste, it’s the same for cheap plastic kettles too. It fades after a while though, the more water run though it the better

Thought this was cheap, but I guess you get what you pay for. I buy Jacobs Krönung beans from Germany or in Polish shops and use them in my DeLonghi machine. Using them in this machine is a waste. Very disappointing. The coffee tastes like old warmed up coffee. It was worth a try though.

Received the coffee machine yesterday, tested today. Good news - coffee beans + grinder works well, makes decent coffee powder and coffee tastes pretty good. Takes less than 10 mins to make 2 good size cups of coffee, ie 250ml coffee per cup. Not so good news - my machine appears to have an inherent fault. Once the coffee is brewed, the transfer of coffee from machine to plastic pot sometimes does not work correctly. Perhaps a design fault. Cleaning the machine using hot water via the same process as making the coffee works flawlessly, this only occurs when making coffee via coffee beans. Haven't tried coffee powder yet. However pulling back on the coffee pot when coffee is transfering seems to rectify the issue...overall good purchase for £12

We bought one on the previous deal, so far it's working well, the timer function is useful for waking up to fresh coffee and it keeps the pot warm so you can leave it a while. Definitely feels worth it at this price.

Do you need to clean after each use? And are the parts dishwashersafe?

I’ve spent more on a kilo of branded coffee beans than this, and no doubt the empty bag will last longer!

I bought a load of beans at Sainbury's for 39p each, I now need a grinder ha ha ha, might be worth it just for that!

I always have trouble with Currys website. I thought I had ordered it, but when I went through to payment it had issues with my card, 3 times even though I entered the correct details and it ended up blocking the card.
I also ticked the box for the site was also supposed to email me if transaction did not go through, to let you buy later, that never happened. Having waited ages to unblock the card, the price has gone up!
