If I'm traveling that far I definitely don't want an indirect flight

Good luck with that, unless you're chartering a private jet!
There are no direct/non-stop flights between the UK and Bali!
Garuda the national airline of Indonesia use to operate the route before COVID, and have not come back. (edited)

    Brilliant deal
Went 6 years ago for £420pp via Qatar Airways, August to September.
Those prices are non existent these days

I went 6 years ago on Garuda for £350. That when you flew direct to Jakarta to connect to Bali, and returned via Singapore (Garuda return flight from Jakarta stopped en route in Singers).

Only 82 passengers on a Boeing 773 to Jakarta. I had the whole forward economy cabin to myself. (edited)

We went from KL to Bali (Return - Air Asia) for 5 nights in a brand new hotel (Tune) for about £12 each many years ago, hotel and flights !! Such a shame those days are gone (edited)

Good deal, shame it's to Bali which is awful and expensive now and full of binfluencers

It was comparatively expensive when I was there nearly 20 years ago - but at least there wasn't the plague that you referenced, nor the "digital nomad" crowd 🤦🏻

To avoid the confusion about what covid test is required, make a dummy booking on China Southern. It states a self taken lateral flow test is required which the airline will not check, code for don’t bother. Random checks when transiting China, but they will not be looking for proof of self test. How could they. Most likely a temperature gun.

Be sure to visit Lombok, much nicer than Bali in my opinion. Enjoyed the Gili islands also.

They used to give you free accommodation on stopovers?

Are there any dates end of June

Just returned from a couple of weeks on this amazing island, had a fantastic time. For me, 2 weeks was not enough time here, still so much of the island and surrounding islands to explore. Will definitely be returning to Bali, it's a shame these flights are so soon after returning to the UK otherwise I would have bought!

Wrong. Self taken lateral flow test which the airline will not check. Code for don’t do anything.

Good deal and no covid restrictions to transit (or stay) in China. Just need to do a self lateral test which the airline will not as for proof of. Random check when transiting China. Bali is a long way (3 hours past Singapore). China Southern flying over Russia will help. Best part is Bali’s weather is the complete opposite to Thailand and surrounds, and Bali in May and June is out of monsoon and heading into the dry, cool weather which is high season. Beaches will be cleaned up and nice.

Book direct with the airline if you can. It should only cost £40 more or so. This is a very good deal and Gangzhou is a easy transit. I did on the way to Ho Chi Minh with China Southern.

Not seeing availability on the first couple of dates listed.
Which 3rd party agency is this flight supposed to be booked through to get the cheap fare?

As someone else mentioned, you should try and book directly with the airline if there isn't a huge price difference.

It’s no longer showing up at that price unfortunately. Cheapest I can find is ~£700

Doesn't show me anything cheaper than £750
