You'd be hard pushed to find this many world class players available to view at this price.I live in London and would jump at the chance if Arsenal had the same offer via Unidays.

Arsenal would have to get into the CL first

It's a great deal for a great team, shame it's not for a great club.

Did Pep sponsor this deal? He's been pretty desperate for fans to fill the stadium too

£12.50!? Do City think their fans are made of money? (edited)

Interesting difference in the level of comment deletion in this thread (none) vs. what happened in the Anfield tour thread (lots).

For all the “emptyhad” jokers, at least it’s normally as busy at half time as it is at the start of the match because City aren’t 4-0 down

Wonder how many of the comedians in this thread have ever been to Old Trafford or Klanfield, or could even point them out on a map?

Can't get away from the fact that £12.50 is a great deal for someone that wants to watch a Champions League game featuring City.

Nor can you get away from the fact that they have trouble filling the ground for CL games. But the reasons quoted by the head of one of the fans groups such as late finish, trouble getting away from the stadium, etc apply to many big clubs where there it takes time to either get back to your car, or to use public transport to get to your destination.

A neighbour goes up to a game in the North West for occasional midweek games with his 10 year old. They get back home around 2 in the morning. It's what you have to do if you want to see that team and don't live in the area.

Many neutrals don't like City - not because of their recent success - but because of how it was achieved in terms of financing. Liverpool, Utd, Chelsea all spent big in their respective eras of success, but not to the same extent as this City team. Their first XI is amazing and their bench for a recent game cost over £300m. It's unprecedented investment in a team.

I'm sure even Sam Allardyce would have some success at City with the same players at Pep's disposal.

With Newcastle's spending power dwarving even City's, we'll most likely see at some point in the future, similar claims of buying the title.

But back to the deal - voted hot which is what this site is about :-)

All joking aside though this is a great price for going to watch Champions League football, and I'd be delighted if I could grab a Chelsea ticket at this price.

Reading fan here, I have been to both stadiums, few years ago. I was shocked at how poor old Trafford was, no atmosphere and terrible bodge it stadium. The view from some parts of the stadium was beyond a joke, massive restricted views.

Man citys ground was weird and clearly not specced as a football stadium.

Liverpool stadium wasn't much better and apart from the walk on rendition was silent, could be good see what its like now.

Chelsea was the worst stadium. Looks nice on the outside but the view at the top of a stand behind the goal was a joke, seat spacing was laughable.

Southampton stadium is ok but hasn't dated well and seating is cramped.

Arsenal's stadium looks good on the outside but seating spacing us a joke, very cramped.

Sometimes bigger stadiums aren't better. Reading's stadium is brilliant as no matter where you are you have a perfect view and seats are well spaced, if they spaced like arsenals the capacity would go from 24k to well over 35k.

There are a few other championship stadiums that are good too. (edited)

    But regardless great price

Your crazy Chelsea spent more in their first two seasons after takeover than city ever have and collectively together city has spent LESS than Utd, pool and chelsea and there success didn’t come straight away. I’m sure Sam allardyce.. wtf you on man MARK HUGES was in charge and spent 200million if you don’t know it’s manager that make teams and win games not money that’s why Man Utd keep flopping and I’m sure BIG SAM would have more success at Man Utd than Ole

Amazing price! The jealousy over that club and side from some is embarrassing. People forget what their fanbase went through during the 90s, I'm made up for them they finally seen success.
