This is the best price I’ve seen this year.  Having had one this price seems fair.  BBQ Land are a good seller too.

I have this BBQ - I wouldn't buy it again, its not for me. Before the purchase I liked the idea of the gravity feed etc etc. For info, one of the sensors went faulty just over the year - that means the fan wont work as it assumed one of the doors where open, that's no good mid bbq. I got a new senor ordered and replaced at at little cost. Main reason why I wouldn't buy again is you need to buy high quality fuel to get the temp up to full wack, I have tried Tesco / Asda own brand fuel , all types and it just cant get the temp through hot enough. Weber coals work well but still that high high temp is lost though the system. Plus weber fuel costs. Just something to think about. Good price and good post - thanks.

If this runs on gravity, it must be the greenest BBQ available

It has a wee little black hole at the bottom, which you feed matter too (any matter will do) and it burns up as it's pulled apart by the extreme gravitational forces and this creates the heat and smoke. At the other side of the BBQ is another wee small black hole that can pull that smoke across your food. You may find that once your 10 hour brisket is ready and smoked, 500 years has passed to those not physically right next to the BBQ, small price to pay for amazing food I say. (edited)

Anyone got one of these? Been thinking about a pellet smoker, but this looks a good idea! Can use the same briquetttes as my Weber

You certainly can use your Weber briquettes. But having owned one, the downside is build quality. It’s ok for what it is, in the States it’s built for a price around $500. EBay has lots of parts these days, but paying over the odds, feels a bit off.

the only downside of these is the build quality, have a little look around facebook owner groups and there are some unhappy people

How do these compare to traeger grills. I'm thinking of a traeger one. I want it more as a smoker than a bbq because I'm sick of babysitting my proq smoker!! (edited)

IMHO they are different beasts. You get charcoal flavour off the Masterbuilt, but a Traeger, I’ve had a Traeger Ranger, is well built and pellets give a mild wood smoke flavour.  Having said that a bout charcoal flavour, I think Pit Boss make charcoal pellets. Although I’ve never had them.  (edited)
