Not as good as the glitch posted by for £26.99, which I think was honoured. But this is the cheapest you can get at the moment.

A new mechanical threat
Battle your way across a dangerous alien planet in Metroid Dread - the latest addition in the side-scrolling action-adventure franchise.

Following on from the events of Metroid Fusion, bounty hunter Samus Aran heeds the call of a strange transmission and heads to the remote world of ZDR. Upon arrival she finds it overrun by lethal alien lifeforms and the menacing E.M.M.I machines.

Now she must fight for her life as she seeks out the truth behind the E.M.M.I and what caused them to become the robotic menace of ZDR.

Weapons and abilities
Samus has a whole host of new and familiar abilities that will help her navigate the deadly landscapes of this alien world. You'll be sliding through small spaces, jumping over obstacles and taking down enemies with powerful weapons.

Explore the world of ZDR

As you discover different areas of the map you'll find upgrades that can be used to take down the E.M.M.I. You'll also find alternative paths that will help you uncover the secrets of this mysterious planet.

Do currys deliver next day with this coce? says 3-5 days for me

It's a next day delivery code but to save £5 we need to change it to standard delivery. So, you won't get the next day delivery.

I'm just being a dick, referring to the 26.99 glitch some of us managed to get the other week. Seems to get brought up on every Metroid Dread thread

Me too, the EMMI are brutal, but I also wouldn't change them at all.

Fantastic game, on track to topple the mighty Metroid Fusion as my favourite 2D Metroid. Was worried the 'dread' mechanic with the EMMI would be frustrating, but hasn't been the case so far.

Mercury Steam did a fantastic job, please ignore the emulator click-bait and support them (plus at this early stage any roms being offered are more than likely going to be riddled with malware).

imo that's a good thing - an enemy you can't jsut fight with but need to dodge and run away from. Soon you will get a stealth cloak and it will become easier if you haven't done already

Not sure how long you've played, but I was worried about EMMI zones myself being annoying before playing, but they are actually brilliantly done and there are some really fantastic touches later on. Give it more time and I think it will grow on you. I don't wanna spoil anything. (edited)

    I got it for £106.98.

Because the game is so brilliant, I had to also grab a Limited Edition copy. Which was surprisingly a rather huge box. (edited)

This genre has tons of backtracking, so I found its length to be to the detriment of the game. Plus it's just lower budget of course. Still an impressive game for an indie release, and might be my favourite indie Metroidvania, but I vastly prefer Metroid Dread pretty much in every single way. I was only worried that, being a 1st party Nintendo game, it might be too easy, but it has a good level of challenge to it.

I absolutely loved Hollow Knight. One of my top 10 games of all time. Exploring always enjoyable and there are benches and trams/stag stations for fast travel to avoid backtracking.

    Definitely worth a buy.

Lol Curry’s are so crap though. Just rang to see if I can cancel my order and do in store collection instead and got told no, because the order is too far along. I said that that’s pretty strange as I only ordered 15 minutes ago and I doubt the order has been picked already. Bunch of muppets.

Yeah, if it's a small saving, I would definitely not even bother with Curry's, they really don't take care of the packages at all, and is in general a horrible retailer. Mine arrived wrapped in a plastic bag, zero protection, no bubble wrap of any sort. (edited)

Definitely requires patience. Just remember for the EMMI parts that if you get caught and die, you go straight back to the same part so no big deal.

Very hot, ordered! But is anyone else having issues logging into Currys? Couldn't log in using desktop Chrome or Firefox, needed to use their mobile app which was a pain. Site issues after the rebrand?

Ordered to collect from Oxford Street but never got my email to say it was ready, did live chat and they say technical issues and to wait 48hrs…even though still says in stock to collect in an hour. In no rush to get it as won’t get to play it at the weekend and a cracking price as it’s only been out 3 days! Thanks Brutes! (edited)

Way better for me, I found Axiom Verge's environments mega bland. If it had more variety there I would rank it higher. I'm a huge fan of this genre to be fair, I've played tons of Metroidvania games, so it does take a lot for me to be impressed these days, but Dread just oozes quality.
