Have some heat
If you zoom in on the picture of the box you can see that it says 'new' Nintendo 3ds in the left top hand corner, that is the name given to the latest 3ds editions. In addition according to the description it has a second analogue stick and two extra shoulder buttons, and as far as I know only the latest edition of the 3DS has these.
