I don't understand the problem with it being an S. I bought it thinking it would be an S and I'm quite happy with it. It's super quiet compared to my jet engine premium Xbox and I got a new headset which I needed also the fact that the S is still more expensive than the E everywhere else. Making me think the E is the budget Xbox

1] Lots of back log of titles that could and will get cheaper as the next gen consoles are released.
2] To keep as a spare in case current unit breaks down - cheaper to have this then acquire parts and time/effort to swap etc.
    3] It's cheap..

Maybe others know more about this than I do!Surely the best and cheapest 360's to modify are the 'phat' models. Flashing the hard drive is a lot easier than taking the newer shape consoles to bits.

Totally depends on what level of reverse engineering you want to apply to the device!
But yes the rule-of-thumb is indeed that the newer Corona slims are more tricky as you need to buy a Postfix Adapter to access the POST_OUT point as Microsoft go wise to the RGH (ResetGlitchHack). Also the DVD ROM's are harder to flash as again Microsoft implemented better protection!

If you are looking to get a 360 to mod then I recommend getting a second-hand Slim (trinity) as these are cake to glitch provided you are half decent at soldering

With the voucher code and a £5 game, it brought the price down £47 all in. Just realised we could sell the Fifa14game for£36, bringing the price down to an amazing £11. Bargain!!!!!! Thanks op

Actually you could have sold the vouchers on ebay for like almost double the cost plus.
So in fact not really the best use of your bargain

Thanks OP just ordered... never used tesco direct before so I registered and found loads of unused vouchers on my clubcard...

Total cost for me was £62.15 collect tomorrow.... WIN!!

Would amend title to confirm it's the Xbox360 as the 'new' Xbox is the Xbox One.
  9. kingbeanio's avatar
just to mention it can be £129 if you pay online and collect from your local Tesco metro or express (delivered to store)

So the price would probably not be as cheap as this deal if we assume your current xbox360 breaks 8 months later?

I was a little unsure whether to go for this before that even though my original 360 is on its last legs with no HDD space left with all these free games! Thanks for the deal and the people who commented confirming this is the new 360E Model!Oh, also 6% cashback through quidco!**EDIT** So I was a little worried about this not being the newest model so I did some research. Apparently there are other websites that are releasing Fifa 14 packages with the older slim models. It's all a little confusing but whatever the situation - Still a brilliant deal!http://www.littlewoods.com/xbox-360-250gb-console-with-fifa-14/1263406846.prdhttp://www.argos.co.uk/m/static/Browse/ID72/33025986/c_1/1%7Ccategory_root%7CTechnology%7C33006169/c_2/2%7C33006169%7CVideo+games+and+consoles%7C33008137/c_3/3%7Ccat_33008137%7CXbox+360%7C33016918/c_4/4%7Ccat_33016918%7CXbox+360+consoles%7C33025986/r_001/6%7CType%7CBundle%7C1.htmMakes sense really, why else would there be product images of the older version and the new version?

Why are people hung up on the new E model? I actually prefer the Slim model, it looks better has more ports available and is as quiet as the E model. There literally is not much difference between the two.

Just ordered along with the £1 Milton spray, don't want the wife to feel left out....

Had a £5 Clubcard voucher, so £125 delivered to my local Tsco Express tomorrow afternoon.

Will probably sell FIFA 14, so this must surely be the cheapest XBOX 250GB deal ever?

I'm missing something to. Do people really buy clubcard vouchers?

Yes people do buy vouchers for example you want to fly to france AVIOS allows you to book your ticket one day notice for 49 pounds
Try that on BA website and see how much you get asked to pay

Tesco Clubcard vouchers are very useful
Wanna buy an engagement ring and look 4x richer Yep Tesco clubcard Vouchers
Wink wink maybe you will get it 4 x more just cause she thinks you spent 4x more than she knew your budget pocket could afford either way Tesco Clubcard vouchers can make you look 4x the boss so they are generally worth something

Isn't it likely that the copy of FIFA included in this will be a specific bundle version without it's own barcode? If that's the case you won't be able to trade it in.

Makes no difference if you've already preordered the game separately of course as you can just trade that one in instead.

Gamestop take bundled games as acceptable trade-ins.

So this is basically a £20 saving.

No - its about £169 elswhere so a £40 saving......and if you sell Fifa for £25 then you're getting a new console for £105 (when its typically £150 elsewhere). Its a great deal.

Kids generally want what their mates have and many many more of their friends will have xbox 360s. Of course the exception to this are spoilt brats who expect over £400 to be spent just on them and who will be ungrateful with whatever you buy them...

You know i noticed something strange there isnt the EA pass code nonsense … You know i noticed something strange there isnt the EA pass code nonsense this year so second hand games should be fine To be Honest NOT A DEAL £150 for a machine 1 year out of date and for an extra £20 bucks you get the new console sorry but tesco has had us all Non the less if you sell fifa and some apperals you could get the machine swap for free meaning another years warrenty for free but overall Not Impressed with Tesco Bait and switch and for anyone saying it is not true first you should see the picture tesco was using to sell the item then speak

They used the picture of the S consolde. OP used the picture of the E console.

What's to be confused about? Most people paid £129 (£130 including £1 item), anyway not £150.

Not taking in to account personal offers/codes discount, new console has cost me £93.12 on it's own, they sell for more pre-owned in Game.
