Does an air fryer cook home made chips and not just frozen chips, if anyone could let me know please.
    YinYang's avatar
Yep, but unlike when cooking frozen chips, you need to add some oil.

If you go to the Ninja website and go to the page for the fryer you're interested in, if you scroll down you will find a downloads section where you can download a quick start guide in PDF format. That shows you the cooking times/instructions for a bunch of different foods, and while it doesn't cover literally everything, it gives you a good idea of the kinds of things you can cook and how long different foods take.

I have this model and it's fantastic, quality build, had it over a year now, chips, chicken, sausages are first class and reheating pizza and pastry too, no more soggy from microwave. Also saves heating up a whole oven, a necessity with the energy crisis.

Just ordered! Couldn’t wait any longer - needed to see what all the fuss is about and this seemed like a fab deal.
    Thank you!

Can you cook a whole Chicken in this?
    Heath_Linacre's avatar
You can. Depends on the size of the bird though but it can be done easily

    Hi
I bought the AF400UK. Tried McCain gastro triple cut oven chips in it last night. I was very disappointed, hope that all types of chips, both fresh, frozen and oven, do not come out, like the afore mentioned.
    They really were tasteless

think you get blulight discount with ninja kitchen too
    chipstar1's avatar
Yeah blc works with ninja kitchen but not ninja cooking site, this is the ninja cooking site where they often have the reductions already in place. Sometimes they have the same reduction on both sites, then you can use your blc benefit.

Missus wants the double one but I reckon 2 of these might be better, anyone had both?
    YinYang's avatar
I haven't had both, but I don't think 2 of these would be better than the AF400UK. The only advantage you get is having 5.2 litres per drawer compared to 4.75 with the AF400UK, which is not a huge difference really.

The biggest advantage of the AF400UK is that the cooking method, temperature, and cooking time can be set independently for each drawer, and you can sync them so they both finish at the same time.
