I think you have, you don't buy a switch for a port of an old 3ds game... you don't deserve a switch!
World was my first Monster Hunter and this is definitely not comparable apart from the killing monsters bit.
Terrible graphics, bad controls, have to load each area which is only small anyway, and no online matchmaking.

It won't do. Monster Hunter demo's are notorious for not being very good demos simply for not catering at all to newcomers. It throughs you straight into the game and expects you to know how the jist of the game works.
I didn’t know it was a 3DS port, I thought it was a port of a Japanese version of the game. I stupidly jumped into it without research as I simply thought it would be a ‘handheld MHW’ which I’m addicted to! My fault!
The full game does have online, as per the eshop. I would imagine the demo does not.
I am sure you don't need telling again but yes, paying £300 without doing adequate research is pretty silly indeed.
I've been playing mh for many years, I have only just got mhw due to PC. I'm enjoying it however this switch version is the OG! Granted it's not got sparkly graphics but it has much more content and is much more of a challenge.

I just purchased a switch 2weeks ago just for this game,mhw is great,and this is a nice alternative..iv played the japanese demo,but would be nice to get English txt to see what's going on.hit me an invite we can hunt online
But I downloaded this demo and Just could not play it. The graphics are awful and I find it so difficult to play because of this.
Believe it or not I’ve been enjoying Paladins - a free game which is on other consoles - most!! Haha. Also playing Mario Odyssey and Sonic Mania but MHGU is the real reason I bought it for. Just think I could have used that £300 on something else lol. Oops never mind!

I’ll definitely give it some more tried and see if another weapon clicks with me. I main SnS on World but it’s not so good in this, can’t do the aerial attacks or anything - unless im missing some button combos
I just hope they being some of the better monsters like Tigrex in to World and give us G-Rank.
Tried it, didn't like it at all. Was hoping for a slight dark souls game play, but this was just too slow for me.
Try it in multiplayer. The slowness is deliberate
Yes it carries over. Once you get the game just log on to the Nintendo eShop and there should be an application that helps you do the conversion.
