About this deal
This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:
For the first time in HD, Nintendo’s Mario Kart franchise comes to the Wii U console, introducing new racing circuit designs and antigravity karts that will have players driving upside down. Players will also enjoy a variety of series-favorite features, including the return of 12-player online competitive play, hang-gliders, underwater racing and motorbikes.
Mario Kart 8 Features:
The new antigravity feature allows for never-imagined racing circuit designs. Players will speed through courses and find themselves suddenly racing on walls in a haunted mansion or upside-down over Princess Peach’s Castle as their wheels automatically rotate and shift into antigravity gear. Mario Kart TV lets players share highlight videos they submitted to Miiverse. Experience a wealth of features that span the series, including 12-player online competitive play. Elements first introduced in Mario Kart 7, such as hang gliders and underwater racing, along with elements introduced in Mario Kart Wii, such as motorbikes and performing tricks in midair, also make their return.
+ 1 FREE full retail game download worth upto £40.
+ 2 year FREE extended warranty.

They made an absolute fortune on the Wii so it's not like they have *consistently* been losing money on the hardware side of things.
One game? It comes with 2 games mate, read the title/description.
Wii U has currently available:
● Over 70 boxed retail games.
● ~100 NES; SNES; GBA Virtual Console titles
● ~ 64 download and Indie titles with over another 150 announced and comming soon.
● All the above currently total to over 50 high scoring titles on metacritic.
● Plus it's backwards compatible with well over 1000 Wii games.
Quite the bargain for £200 really when you think about it. (edited)
Yet you see it, click it, read it, take the time to comment and still return to read replies
Me vs my wallet this payday.
I'd agree that used 360's or PS3's are good for cheap games. I got a used 360 last year for £60 and its great for fifa and minecraft, but doesnt get used for much else. A used Wii also offers a very cheap way of playing some great games, there was a deal on here to get a used one for £25 last week! Plus Wii is able to play very cheap gamecube games. The used Wii I got a couple of years back for £35 is getting more use than the 360. The kids love Mario Party 9, Smash Bros, MarioKart, etc.
This deal (for the Wii U) is fantastic however. 200 notes for brand new console, one of the best games of the year and a choice of some other quality titles as a free download, plus you can have access to that large number of used cheap Wii games. Whats not to like?
The only thing I thought was do I really need to upgrade when everyone is still enjoying the kit we've got? The answer is of course YES!
This is a good example of the issue the Wii U has had, due in part to the poor choice of name from Nintendo. Many people assume that a Wii U is an add on for the Wii, in the same way the Wii Fit balance board was. I think it would have sold much better if it had been called Wii 2.
Any way the Wii U is the next generation console. The controller that comes with it is called the Wii U Gamepad and has a touch screen built in as well as normal controls like buttons and thumbsticks. The Wii U console will also be compatible with any Wii remotes that were used on a Wii. It can play old Wii games as well as the new Wii U ones.
The first lot of cheap wiimotes I got from ebay a few years back were very poor. The direction pad was useless.
I recently got some off amazon and have found these to be much better. Have used them on mario bros wii and mariokart wii with no issues. My three boys seem to get on with them too. I got these ones amazon.co.uk/gp/…all from iColourful, they were shipped from Germany.
I'd guess its a bit of a lottery with 3rd party controllers but the nintendo ones are expensive.
why? you get a 2 year warranty and club card points from Tesco
dont know, I've just ordered again and then cancelled the original, I suppose it depends if you're bothered about waiting upto 5 days to get your refund for the original purchase and if its worth the hastle for £7

Pretty sure the price is going to come down fast initially, before jumping back up, due to the few folks looking to make a quick buck by taking advantage of the free game on multiple copies selling the spare on.
No chance, they make so much money from the 3ds and had the best selling console ever with the Wii. Instead of troll on here about that, why don't you just spend £200 to get the best games around in terms of gameplay (not purely on graphics). Wii U will start to sell really well with Mario Kart and Smash Brothers coming out. Also a Zelda U announcement at E3 will boost sales.
Just called them and you can call, tell them about the discount and once item is delivered they will refund the difference.
They have some price promise type thing and you get the lowest price it is between order and release.
If only.... (edited)
You must be new here...
Difference is, absolutely NO ONE is interested in your comment.
Playing W101 ATM. One of the best games I've ever played. Once you play it you'll feel absolutely horrified how a game of such quality could fly so low under the radar.
When I first played with the gamepad I was surprised at how comfortable it is. I've got pretty big hands and sometimes get a little uncomfortable with say a PS3 controller. I have the pro controller too, which is very nice but the gamepad is great.
The battery on it sucks...but you can buy an upgrade if it bothers you.
Theres always time and space for another console so get your wallet out.
Yes dear.
Most people don't have these issues, but many do.
1. Put the most recent (recent as in release date) game you have purchased into the Wii U first. Game discs often contain Wii U updates ready for install so you don't have to download.
2. Are you with Virgin Media using a Super Hub? - Before updating to the most recent firmware, some people (most often people with SuperHubs and Virgin Media) have issues with wireless router connection. The key is set the internet settings up manually, not automatically. You can follow the instructions here. nintendoservicecentre.co.uk/sup…tup
3. For the purpose of the initial updating over WiFi, it is recommended you place the Wii U in the same room as your wireless router. After updating the wireless connection should improve. You may have to play with channels and other settings on your router to fine-tune things, but wired always provides the best connections and you can purchase a Wii USB Ethernet connector should you prefer.
Once you are all up to date, the difference between launch OS firmware and current, is night and day.

This works perfectly for me. You'll need to get some home plugs if you haven't any aready, or a long ethernet cable!
Super Mario sunshine please! Watched so many speed runs of it!
If they went the Gamecube VC route there's so many titles to select:
- Mario Sunshine
- Mario Strikers
- Older Mario Party Titles
- F Zero GX
- Smash Bros. Melee
& Loads More (inc Animal Crossing, Battalion Wars, Paper Mario, Wave Race, Eternal Darkness etc etc)
And the best MK in my opinion (well 8 atm is on par), Mario Kart: Double Dash!
GC games on the Wii U would be PERFECT! I already get Gamecube vibes from the Wii U already, love it!
