Nope. Just those as I think they’re particularly interesting and great deals. That ok?

    I don't have £4080.

    Me neither

Something I've never got my head around: the value of these watches is always justified by "what an investment they are", "never loose their value" and "as good as money" and yet I'm constantly seeing them on deals with 20% or similar off. That's quite a discount it seems to me for something who's value is supposedly so rock solid.

Something doesn't add up. Do these actually have any real world utility other than being able to carry a few grand on your person through border control, no questions asked?

I know quite a few wealthy people and the only one who doesn't just usually wear an Apple Watch is being paid to wear the bling in public. (edited)

I understand the point, but they are 2 different things entirely.

An Apple Watch is an amazing piece of tech, and watch enthusiasts probably own one and wear it daily. The ultimate tool watch. But… they have a shelf life. People may be upgrading them every two/three years, so over the lifetime of a quality mechanical watch, in comparison to smart watches, you’ll probably spend more with Apple than Omega.

A mechanical watch will potentially last you a lifetime if it’s cared for. Not to mention hold value. And there are options both well below and well above these prices.

Also, there is something in the fact that mechanical watches are hand made/assembled and have a history behind them, in terms of the design. For some, a bit more soul to it than a computer on your wrist.

But it’s each to their own. Won’t be for everyone.

Last time I saw 20% off current Omega sport watches from an independent they ended the partnership with Omega. Watts 1858 was the jeweller. Could be wrong might just be an actual sale and nothing else.
    Gripper1963's avatar
That was my first thought and if you click on Omega in their list of brands it doesn't show any watches and shows Nothing Found.

Great price for a brand new one. Gets the most wrist time in my collection.

If you buy a watch for 4k what on earth are you doing on this site? (edited)

Looking for deals that bring the watch down from 5 grand to 3 grand obviously

    Rolex are investments.
Least that was why I waited so long for mine ,cos I dare hardly wear it.
They won’t be one Rolex and Omega owner that will tell you there Rolex is better in Watch terms.
I don’t own an Omega but have held plenty in hand and I’d go as far as saying the quality pips my submariner.
Truth is everyone else has caught up.
    Rolex are just better marketers.
    johnny155's avatar
Omega is better watch manufacturer, Rolex better markting maker.

Doesn't look the money to me.
    Baldricky's avatar
Do you have an example of a watch that you feel "looks the money"?
  10. pennywise1987's avatar
Doesn't even change the channel on the TV, cold

Heat from me. Nice find OP.
Always wanted a Seamaster but it looks ridiculous on my skinny wrists

i thought omega weren't too keen on having their watches discounted - they have been putting up prices significantly over the years. im always a bit underwhelmed by omega as much as i want to like them. .Probably too many variations which cheepens the image
    howbord's avatar
Know what you mean about the price increases, my Planet Ocean is now worth about £1K more than I paid for it in 2019 which just doesnt seem right. Suppose I would be happy enough if I wanted to sell it though

If I had to buy an Omega, I'd buy a moonwatch.
    ComeOnMan's avatar
Moonwatch was on discount too, for the money I think I would rather have a Rolex

Omega= Rolex but without all the fuss...

I have the Grey Dial version of this, its faultless, my only slight quibble is that that date window is so small, maybe thats just because im getting on a bit though...

Nice price for a very highly rated watch, great bang for the buck...

    HEATY!!

There's a date window? Oh, yes...

These were £4400 18 months ago RRP, don’t understand the justification of such a price rise from Omega.
    ezzer72's avatar
Have you seen the rise in food, energy and car prices in that time?
  21. deleted2635135's avatar
Not worth it only but limited edition watches so they maintain there value
  22. maxamus007's avatar
Never liked this watch..that second nipple just looks aweful

    Some great deals !
  26. digitaljunior's avatar
I'm going to ring them up at the shop as these price discounts seem too good to be true
    BigD21's avatar
Let us know what they say please
  27. Kato_MV's avatar
It doesn't look like this shop is an authorised dealer, so Omega might not honor the 5 year warranty.
    BigD21's avatar
They are no longer Omega AD after 31 Dec hence selling off stock. 5 year guarantee will be honoured, just take it to your local AD

Good price - heat added. Personally I don't like the skeleton hands or the release valve, but it has a great movement and bracelet.

I went for the Aqua Terra in the Fraser Hart deal in August and as my first 'luxury' watch it's been great.

These 300's are a little too estate agenty for me personally, but no offence to the millions that like them.
    ComeOnMan's avatar
I think Aquaterra are my fave line, especially the 38mm, what’ an absolute home run. Which model did you get?
  30. Biscuit123's avatar
Great for anyone that was going to buy a new one anyway. Not a responsible impulse purchase for me currently unfortunately.
  31. brum1well's avatar
It’s fairly easy to get 15-20% off as standard from most of the Omega range excluding limited edition pieces.

I bought the blue dial one and got a free plastic strap with it for around £3400. Only time I got a got deal on a watch lol
