Fake watches as worn by Tin Men.

    This is terrible advice.

Save up buy the real thing. You can take pride in it and the knowledge that you did not actively finance organised crime in a vain effort to pretend you are something that you are not. (edited)

I once treated myself to a £300 Seiko Kinetic. I hated it and gave it my my in laws. I was also offered a £600 Tissot for a birthday. Ok, yes, it's nice.
But my all time favourite watch is a Casio Wave Ceptor I bought for £50: radio controlled, so always bang on on time, including summer/winter time adjusted automatically overnight, and solar, so I've never needed changing the battery in 10 years of owning it.
But then, the reason I wear a watch is to reliably give me the correct time. If your reason is to go "oh look at me, I've got loads of money, bend over and give me a BJ" type of guy, then granted a Casio is not going to be the best way to complement your latest iPhone. (edited)

Who in their right mind spend 4 large on a watch? (Face palm)

    Lots of people!
These are hand made, will last a lifetime, bring the wearer pleasure everyday and they mostly hold their value.

That new 65” tv in 5 years... in the bin. Swiss watch just being worn in and still worth thousands used

It will last a lifetime of serviced every five years at £400+ a pop.

I've only had my seamaster serviced once in 25 years. It came back looking new! Still works fine. I don't really subscribe to the servicing thing...

The servicing thing is a whole myth, yes a full service will cost you £4-500. No you don’t need it every 5 years. You get one when your watch starts playing up or losing time which in all honestly may never happen. You’ll pay the same price for a service if your watch is fine or if your watch is losing time so why bother if it’s working fine.
