In 1944 Spain young Ofelia (Ivana Baquero) and her ailing mother (Ariadna Gil) arrive at the post of her mother's new husband (Sergi López), a sadistic army officer who is trying to quell a guerrilla uprising.     Don't it's overrated and utter garbage. I'd heard people rave about it for years, seen all these short clips of the monsters in it, I eventually watched it and it was a disappointment and a couple of hours I'll never get back.

    as far as I remember, there is no English audio version of this movie. Thus, this will have Spanish audio (likely the only audio language) with English subtitles
