I've never used Humble before, only looking as I picked up a steam deck recently. So if I sign up now for the £8.99, it says about Jurassic Park etc still. Do I get those now and then another £8.99 after ypm to get death standing etc, or is it the current ones and these new ones? (As in is a month calendar from when you sign up, or just that "months" releases, so only March games until I pay another £8.99). I'm not fussy either way, just if signing up now gets me extras I will
    shadey191's avatar
Yeah you'll get the March because it ends at a certain time of the first Tuesday of the month. That's why this deal says it'll start in a couple of hours

Curious as to how well DS runs on a Steam Deck, anyone have any opinions / know a good resource for this kind of question in general?
    Moonmonkeys's avatar
I've been playing it on Deck and have had no problems with default settings locked at 40fps/40hz refresh rate
I think directors cut isn't quite so smooth for some reason though (edited)
  3. Alyosha's avatar
It’s showing me the March selection. When does it change over?

Lol, Death Stranding Director's Cut already less than a tenner when the Kojima brigade were really trying to convince us it's worth 70 quid a few months ago, can't help but laugh at the insanity of this industry sometimes. The game is worth about a fiver just for the weirdness of it, it's "interesting", but not good. If you think you're getting a good deal, wait till you play it, this is it's true value. I'm sure a select few will love it, but for most it's going to take longer to download than the playtime you'll get out of it. (edited)

Sometimes games aren't made for everyone and that's okay

DS Directors cut? Never forget... having said that, that's a cracking price for some great Steam keys.
    Sherbat's avatar
DC only if you claim within first five minutes.
  6. seekthevalue's avatar
how do people know in advance what's the next month selection is, it's not advertised on humble choice until it actually drops
  7. Redinho's avatar
Does death stranding work on the deck better through the steam store? Always crashed for me through epic
    Goudada's avatar
A little bit, due to the shader cache. Recently played through the whole game on steam deck and I think I only had 1 crash which was more likely due to all the add-ons I have installed on my deck. Frame rate can dip a little below 30 in some areas but I never really had any issues.

Probably the best humble bundle ever!! 🔥🔥🔥

    Incredible selection this month!

Had so much fun with Aliens Fireteam when it was on game pass, the co op was a blast. Shame as the multiplayer pop dropped off when it left game pass.
    Frugal_Infection's avatar
That's worrying as I struggled to find a fireteam while it was still on Gamepass! Not as fun with the AI Joes, imo. I think a big mistake was locking free join behind having to complete the campaign through once, meaning new players will have to rely on vets to pity them and join their games if you don't have anyone on your friends list ready to join.

As a fan of the films (but no super fan, by any means) I felt compelled to check it out as it left Gamepass, wasn't expecting much at all.

As long as you go into it with your expectations in check it is a fun little addition to the series, and surprised me why it didn't seem to get more love. It's clearly a lower budget/scale production but I think it captures the essence of what you'd want from a Colonial Marines game and the devs have put their limited resources in the right places. The sights and sounds nail the Aliens vibe as well as anything outside of the fantastic Isolation and mission length are quite meaty with the 'campaign' taking a good amount of time.

It is very bare bones in essence though. The story/expanded lore is very thin on the ground and I felt the core gameplay loop is very repetitive, hence why I wouldn't suggest playing solo.

I would've loved a few more locations and a bit more mission variety to push this into a more fully fleshed game but for what it is it is still a fun co-op shooter with some great Aliens fan service.

I think the game is worth £8.99 on it's own so have no hesitation in suggesting this months bundle is great. Just holding out to see if Humble offer me a discount coupon!

Rollerdrome is fantastic and challenging. You’ll probably need a controller to enjoy it fully.
    Redinho's avatar
Been so tempted to buy it for more than the price of this bundle the last few months, looks like a great game surprised its bundled so soon
  12. Ken's avatar
Just started Death Stranding after getting it from Epic as a freebie. So far It's fantastic. The scenery is beautiful and I like the way the music kicks in from time to time during missions. Really good sound track that fits nicely.

There aren't many games that I'd rather play on a TV, but I imagine on an OLED panel with everything on, it would look even more incredible. Excellent post and well worth the price
    dberrypro's avatar
You look forward to delivering those packages😁

Rollerdrome is brilliant, might even go for this month to have it native on the Deck (edited)
  14. johnsmith666's avatar
Rollerdrome is super underrated. If you like Tony Hawk and shooter games, it’s a perfect mix of both
  15. TheLastChinaMan's avatar
I really tried with Death Stranding but the gameplay loop is mundane sh ite (not hyperbole) this is what happens when Kojima is left to his own devices and allowed to stare at himself in the mirror whilst pleasuring himself and having dev drones lap it up.

I'm sure it's a great movie (watch the cutscenes on YT) but the strength of the medium (gameplay) is severely wasted here.

ALthough this is a Kojima problem in general. It's fine to be a cinephile or whatever kids call it these days but the guy's clearly just a movie director now whilst having the USP of being a game dev.
    jokerevo's avatar
Lmao. the movie was awful, as any other cinephile should already know.. Kojima doesn't have a clue how to tell a story. the gameplay was superb and the systems underpinning it...nothing else like it. We should be grateful we've got a visionary who dares to make a AAA game from purely fetch quests.

the real answer is...not every game should be everyone's cup of tea and thank god people can choose to find new experiences other than CoD season 97 etc..

Looks like I'll be resuming my subscription this month!

Been after Alien Fireteam for a while... already have Death Stranding on Epic Games giveaway but nice to get that onto Steam
  17. Sherbat's avatar
For some reason $7 priced coupon applied for 3 months (guessing it was the re-issued coupon to fix the old coupon problem with March & April's). Not complaining though, nice bundle.

I'm sure there will be a chorus of disagreement incoming but - don't bother. Epically boring game. I say game, mostly cutscenes.
  19. mattyking's avatar
As a ye olde monthly member with a voucher I got this for £4
  20. jungleboy123's avatar
nope. not touching DS DC. They backstabbed us during the epic giveaway...

I’ve been playing DS on Epic. Can I carry over my progress to Steam? Epic was not the DC edition.
  33. Zeipher's avatar
Nice! However, I upgrade from DS to DSDC because DS is on GeForce Now.

Sadly, DSDC isn't... so I haven't played it since
