I have one and it's fantastic. It's such a useful device, for checking notifications, turning on/off WiFi, data etc with dashboard, using it for navigation with NavMe and as a speedometer while cycling. There are no pairing issues that I experience. I love it!

How would you rate this compared to Apple Watch?

In what way? They both tell the time, both support notifications on your wrist and 3rd party apps. One is however a £45 (after cash back) product with an e-ink based screen and was designed to enhance your existing smart phone's notifications by bringing them to your wrist, while the other has additional sensors and a full colour screen that burns battery in a day and costs £300+ but does allow you to text/make calls from your wrist.

My wife has an Apple Watch, she loves it. I have a Pebble and it does pretty much exactly what I need a smart watch to do, despite being products in the same category I'd not suggest they are aimed at the same demographic.

For me I wanted a watch that didn't leave me shackled to a charger, I don't want to send messages from my watch or make calls but answering or declining calls and reading messages is useful, having audio control over my phone, the ability to control Wemo devices, get notifications, track deliveries, remote control media devices etc. I don't need to make calls or struggle to reply to messages - I have a phone for that.

Have some heat, this is a great price !
I already own this model and its a fantastic smartwatch paired to my iPhone 6.
Notifications for everything you would normally get on the iphone lock screen (emails, text, facebook, whatsapp, linkedin, ebay etc etc). Plus incoming call alerts (name if in your contacts on the phone), accept and reject calls etc - handy when phone is in your pocket and your on handsfree and/or using headphones with mic.

All though constantly connected via bluetooth I've found the battery life to have improved on my phone as I'm not checking my phone every 5 minutes and when you clear a notification on the watch it clears it on the phone.

Although it doesn't have full GPS built in it will link to the GPS on your phone and if you decide not to go for a walk/run with your phone it can still track the number of KM you have walked/run by using useful apps/watchfaces with that support built in.

What wins it for me vs expensive smartwatches is the 5-7 day battery life

I had to return my first gen Pebble as it wouldn't stay paired with the Moto G I had at the time, the software was just awful. All Pebble would ever suggest is "remove and reinstall the software, re-pair the Bluetooth connection, restore the firmware". That gets tiresome after the fifth time in one day...

it's not android software it's pebble own OS, I have a steel and works perfect with my android phone.

    Amazing deal for amazing watch,
I have the same watch and its never off my wrist except once a week when its charged.
When my iphone wakes me up, I snooze it with my watch. No fumbling as the main watch button does it.
When I am listening to podcasts in the bathroom, I have full control.
Its totally water proof so it gets soaked and covered in shaving foam as I control my audio which blasts out from my iphone to a bluetooth speaker.
Same goes for wearing it in the shower.
Driving to work, its far safer to use the pebble to control my audio via the iphone as my hands hardly leave the wheel.
All my text messages appear on the watch, so I don't have to root out my phone from my pocket.
If I lose my phone I can make it ring from my watch.

I never get pairing issues, its tried and tested.
This represents amazing value. Dont waste money on an iwatch that you have to charge every night.
    Buy this watch!

Picked mine up last night and so far it's been amazing. Price aside, the convenience it provides is worth it alone.

    Since last night I've:

    * Installed custom firmware to get emojis on it and remove the default watch faces that I don't want
    * Received goal alerts for all of the Champions League games
    * Used it to control Spotify in the car during the commute
    * Received texts, whatsapp and emails. Got SnapChat notifications too but obv can't open them on a watch
    * Monitored my sleep activity overnight

It's cool that is has some default quick replies setup, and you can define 5 of your own too
With Spotify I had to enable "Broadcast Device Status" or whatever the setting is in the Spotify app to get the Now Playing to show up on the watch.

I don't mind the looks at all. It's pretty slim, light and to be honest nothing like what I expected - thought it would be more like a bulky Nixon digital watch that I owned.

They had plenty in stock at my local Currys last night. If you're on the fence then I'd recommend going for it. Really can't go wrong at this price.

That's just wrong. It most definitely works with the iPhone 5c & iPhone 6 I know, I've had nine working perfectly with both. It is the best smartwatch (whichever model you get) for iOS that isn't an Apple Watch

Can you receive calls via the watch?

    "Phone calls
Pebble vibrates when you receive an incoming call and displays number if you have caller-ID. If the caller is in your address book, Pebble will display the name instead.
On iOS, you can accept (Up button), reject (Down button), or dismiss the notification (Back button).
On Android, you can silence the call (Down button) or dismiss the notification (Back button).
Pebble does not have a speaker, so the call will be accepted on the handset, Bluetooth headset or car kit."

    Only accept or reject calls

The face is actually much smaller than it seems in photos. As for appearance, it's no stunner but some would say the Apple Watch is pretty ugly, too. There are certainly slicker designs out there.

Just picked two up, one as a present and one for me. This is a crazy price for a very full-featured, established smartwatch. I had a Sony Smartwatch 2 which I sold as it was a complete mess - looked quite nice (with metal loop) but constant disconnections and notifications hardly ever worked properly.

Bear in mind this also takes standard 22mm watch bands, so if you don't like the silicone strap, you can add any you want. A stainless steel Milanese loop can be had on Amazon for a tenner (amazon.co.uk/dp/…72K and http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00XBJURI2). The equivalent Apple Watch would set you back £599; a version with stainless steel link bracelet is up to £949.

Keep it in perspective, folks. This is a terrific price for a very, very capable smartwatch with a full week of battery life and a healthy app ecosystem - plus you can add any standard watch band you want.

Plenty of reviews around, this watch has been on sale since 2013.

I use it for: No ring tone, watch vibrates on m wrist to indicate incoming calls and to screen notifications, to quickly see if a message needs a response or can be ignored until later without getting the phone out to check.

But they do a lot of other stuff, people have a lot of different uses for hem.

Does this link with whatsapp notifications and change songs on Spotify?

Yes- you can receive notification like whatsup and Facebook, etc... as long you receive them on the mobile
No- doesn't change songs on Spotify - as far I know no smartwatch can change music on Spotify, but it does change music for the native music app

The only thing I don't like about the original Pebble is its appearance, otherwise I find the Pebbles to be the best functional smartwatches. They tend to lack the gimmicks of the more expensive watches, but get the fundamentals right - like battery life. I used the original Pebble for 2 years, now I'm using a Pebble Time. I'm not impressed by the new Pebble round, which has sacrificed battery life for questionable aesthetics.

There is no GPS integrated into the watch, but it is designed to be paired with a phone and it will use the phone GPS over Bluetooth and can display compass headings, maps and other GPS stuff just fine using dozens of available apps that you can load onto the watch.

It also works well with the 5 and 5S I can vouch. In the really early days - 2013 there was some problem with notifications needing some tweaking to keep them working, but that was solved on later versions of iOS when Bluetooth LE was added and Pebbles are rock solid reliable with iPhones.

They definitely do work with iPhones,
