Not really Philips... They've sold their soul... Philips in brand only.

Personally I'd avoid rechargeable torches, especially if they are for 'emergency' use. I'd prefer to be able to put in a new battery for instant light and the ability to carry a spare. Rechargeable batteries don't hold their charge in storage like modern alkaline batteries. In my experience, poor 'service' from Aliexpress for a non delivery too, so I avoid. (edited)

Lithium ion batteries have a very low self-discharge rate.

Delivery costs more than the goods. 🥴

Total price is still awesome for this spec.

How do these compare to Olight torches? Thanks in advance.

    Olight are top quality.
(I've got a couple that have been used regularly for years and are still like new)

I'd be surprised if these are anywhere near as good. (edited)

5W LED. 0.8WHr cell. Run time on full output = not a lot.

    5W?

Would be a bargain if it had just on and off instead of seven stupid modes of which you only actually want one. Who ever uses a torch for "signalling"? Or "self defense" [sic] for that matter?

Once again the designers have got carried away with the possibilities and forgot the mantra "just because you can doesn't mean you should".

Different brightness levels can be useful when they are as bright as 300 lumens. It's not that pleasant using a really powerful light for close up jobs.

The wrist strap/rope also being a built in USB cable actually makes this tempting. Will make is so you also always have a phone charging cable on you too.

No idea how you're getting to this price! New Ali Express users or new GeForest store users? (edited)

Most likely a new AliExpress user as a welcome deal.

Received mine - Its more 'like' a kids toy.
    Not great - very plasticky.
Looks like something that should be 1-2 GBP on alixpress
The 5 GBP o-Light specials that have popped up are superior value
