Do you think Nintendo will ever add the base Pokémon games to their online service?

It's possible, but there's a few potential sticking points. The Pokémon Company may have other plans, they may want to reissue themselves, or have their own app on the console. Cloud saving is another question too, Game Freak don't usually support it so how that would be handled could be problematic.
On the other hand, Goldeneye seemed even less straightforward but they made that happen so there is hope

The Pokemon Stadium games are pretty worthless without transfer pack emulation for the classic games in my opinion. The ability to play the gameboy games in Doduo and Dodrio mode and the ability to use your own pokemon in battles was what gave the games value. The mini games are fun, but they are so basic that they only offer a few minutes of entertainment unless you are a child.

Good job many of us 90s geeks now have children who would be happy with this level of entertainment

Are the allowing trading within pokemon stadium?

No, you can't hook up the classic games.

Replayed TCG (and the Japan-only sequel) far too many time on my phone emulator, but I'll have to play it again. Stadium 2 is very welcome news - wish they'd figure out a way for you to bring your own Pokémon in, instead of just rentals though.

The functionality between the different NSO apps is already there (people with modded consoles have added the Game Boy games and it works) so it's just a matter of when/if the Game Boy games are officially added

Bought the TCG for my 3DS when it first released there, great little game.

PS: the coin flops are predetermined so you can't save scum in the middle of a game.

Never did learn how to actually play the card game, despite collecting the cards as a kid. Might finally give it a go

I always wanted to play Pokemon Stadium 2, but it was always expensive, and the value has never come down all those years! So strange now we can play it on a pass that's cheaper than buying the cartridge.

Would still be good if they can now translate Pokemon TCG 2, the first one was really fun to play!
    Des-picable's avatar
They won't ever do it, 100%. It's a huge job. Your only hope is an unnoficial translation - thankfully it's literally a 5 minute job to find everything and get it working
