Here's the trade-in values of the extra items in the bundle at CEX. (First value is Cash, second is CEX vouchers)

    Move Starter Pack - £14 / £18

    Karate Kid Blu-Ray - £2 / £2

For the Move game, if you're focusing on highest value, choose either Medieval Moves or Eyepet and Friends.

    Medieval Moves - £10 / £13
    Eyepet and Friends - £10 / £13
    Dancestar - £4 / £5
    Start The Part - £7 / £10

For the extra games, NFS Run is the only game that has a trade in value over £25 at CEX, so is the only one worthwhile buying to sell on if you want to reduce the overall cost of the PS3.

    NFS Run - £28 / £30
    Battlefield 3 - £18 / £22
    Fifa 12 - £24 / £25
    Sims 3 Pets - £12 / £16

So if you just want the PS3, lowest price would be £163 by selling the Move Starter Pack, Move Game, Blu-Ray and NFS Run.

The Tesco deal was the same 320GB with Uncharted 3, Faster Blu-Ray and either Fifa 12 or Battlefield 3 for £229.

    Unchartered 3 - £27 / £28
    Faster - £4 / £5
    Fifa 12 - £24 / £25
    Battlefield 3 - £18 / £22

Price for the Tesco deal after selling the extras in the bundle is £174.

Really depends which games you'd prefer and whether you're going to sell the games or keep them.

Thanks OP. Might buy one depending on the outcome of tomorrow's Black Friday deals.

Looks like this either expired or isn't working correctly. The page CLAIMS that when items are added to the basket a discount is applied at the checkout - but when you get to the checkout you're charged full price!!!

    Beware!!

I added the console, move starter pack, dance star party and sims3 pets (clicking the box next to all 4 items and pressing 'add to basket'). At the payment process it's asking for £290.65!

Agree, you need to take it to the final stage for it to show the correct price.

so what is the best deal, tesco, play.com or amazon, taking into accounts discounts
  31. balajake's avatar
    Author
well there are no tesco discounts working atm, the sainsbury deal is £158 for a 160gb with no games/dvds, the tesco deal is good and the games are in stock now but it depends what you want in your bundle.

the play.com deal went up to £235

This doesn't seem to be working. Wants to charge for everything separately!!!

It does show the price for everything for individual items to start with.
When you select proceed to checkout the discount is applied there.

This deal is pretty good when you consider you could sell all the extras and use the money to buy a game of your choice. I'd personally recommend selling the extras as brand new on eBay. It'll take longer, but it beats the average prices that CEX have been offering lately.

Plus CEX are terrible at handing out cash. My local in Leicester almost always has has a "sorry, no cash today" sign up in it. They even tell me that if I turn up by 11am the next day they'll gaurantee cash for whatever I'm selling, Yet whenever I've turned up at opening time, they never have anything to give!

So yeah, sell your stuff on eBay. Will take longer, but it's Xmas time and your stuff really will sell faster. There's a lot more potential buyers out there and you can usually get a bit more than the usual asking price as customers are desperate for a gift.

cracking deal, almost tempted to replace my frequently overheating Original PS3..

Does anyone have the slim already, if so, does it keep overheating like the original (where the fans go high speed and pump out the equivalent of a 1KW heater )
