Dear Ronseal, your decking is upside down.

Sorry, that gets my goat more than people who say 'expresso' (The grooves should be on the bottom, as they help drainage, and stop the wood rotting from the bottom up)

    Wrong. tdca.org.uk/faq…wn/

Not sure why here and Youtube comments are littered with DIYers peddling this idea. The grooves are designed to be fitted in the direction of the fall, to direct water away from the house. You can fit it the other way if you want and have flat boards, but that's not how it was designed. Some boards have manufacturers stamps on the flat side, so its obvious they don't want that side up. Some decking is grooved one side and reeded the other to give you a choice. Theres a reason its always shown this way on decking oils etc, because they got their info from the manufacturers and not some DIY youtube channel.

They are also selling the decking paint 20% off. Wish they'd done it 3 weeks ago, when I bought three 5L tins of it from Amazon, would have saved myself £30. Does look nice though, went for charcoal

Have this and it’s been down since spring , finish makes the wood look like a composite deck , it hasn’t flaked for wore out , I paid £29 in summer

Probably left over because no one wants their fence commandeered by the government and sent to Ukraine.

Would this be OK on a fence? Or is there a better cheaper option?
