Although an ok tool, 400nm max is very low for an impact wrench.

Agreed. Closer to an impact driver

Perfect! I was looking for one of these yesterday. I put an alert on camelcamecamel for one. I wasn’t waiting long.
    Thanks Bigtonka

I'd be looking at a 900nm impact wrench, personally. The DeWalt one that's been recently posted repeatedly. More expensive, sure, but wider applications including automotive.

    Dewalt DCF899N?

I looked at this one too, I believe it's one with brushes that are build in and cannot be replaced unlike the Makita ones... Don't recommend this model.

Bought one of these at full cost, brilliant tool had it 5 years or so now.

Is this better than the brushless Ryobi R18IW7-0 that's £90 on Amazon? As that has only "18 volts of power delivers up to 270Nm of torque for rapid nut attachment and removal " and this had 400Nm? (edited)

Depends what torque you think you'll be dealing with. But 270Nm is barely more than my impact driver
