Hi Sarden, been following your posts with interest over the past few weeks.

I want to make the leap into a PC pre-build for video editing and not sure where to start.

I do know I want to be future proofed so that in 2 years time I can keep upgrading as and when needed.

Multitasking is a must as I'll be running various Adobe suite modules at the same time (Photoshop, after effects, premier etc).

Lots of gaming pre-builds pop up on hot deals but rarely work-horse computers.

    Budget £1000-£1300

Any pointers or where to look would be a massive help.

If one is going to spend that much, I wouldn't bother with the 5600/5600G processor that costs about £100 now. (edited)

Why not? It won't bottleneck 6800xt

5600 also supports PCIe gen 4 unlike 5600g.

    Hi Sarden,

Another big follower here. Came close to the Costco deal but I think pushing for the extra vram might be useful in the longterm.

I am tempted to pull the trigger on either this or the hellfire, how does this compare? It appears to be a case of the 6800XT against the 4070, and the intel vs the amd? Which would you consider to be the better deal. (edited)

    Hi Chris. appreciate the words.

The Costco one is lovely, given it a share all over on discords, palicomp bought the next best featuring a 5600X with an option on b series board with a higher psu option now too but at that set Costco price at £680 really is steel under the non-x.

have u seen the video at the bottom? pretty much goes though the pro's ? on that 6800xt vs 4070 (edited)

i removed myself before i said something with two words... lol.

and i dont want one of the mods, which clearly dont like me the chance to have been banned, cos it simple the case moving forwards, looking for excuses someone is, and its been going on some time now. (edited)
