Preparation and Safety

To cook on hob - Low to moderate heat
15-20 mins

• Before cooking: Wash, scrub or scrape potatoes. Place potatoes in a large saucepan. Add enough cold water to just cover.
• During cooking: Bring to the boil, cover and simmer gently until tender.
• After cooking: Drain. Check food is piping hot.

To steam - Moderate heat
15-20 mins

• Before cooking: Wash, scrub or scrape potatoes. Place potatoes in the steamer.
• During cooking: Steam until tender. Take care the pan does not boil dry.
• After cooking: Remove carefully. Check food is piping hot.
