First time posting so I hope I get this right.

I know everyone went mad for this drive (from Amazon France) at the beginning of the month.

This is from Currys, which I know is only one step up from HalFrauds, but I'm hoping you can look past that.

It's free delivery from a UK based store AND its a couple quid cheaper.

Edit: The image shows the wrong capacity despite being from Curry's, also this is a Gen 3 SSD so isn't officially ps5 compatible.

    It(PCI-E gen 3) works. But your laptop can support the next gen 4.

    It's a decent deal for that particular drive.
    For £84 you can get the Corsair MP600 Pro NH which is gen4 and a better all round drive, but other than sequential speeds the performance will be very similar so this is still a capable drive.

    970 Evo Plus is not good value anymore. There are plenty faster PCIe 4.0 drives at this price point

    Not only not officially compatible with PS5, plain and simple not compatible with PS5 games. Gen 4 is a minimum requirement for playing PS5 games

    I dont own a PlayStation. I've just visited enough M2 SSD threads to know that its a constant question so thought I'd get in early and echo what the community and Sony keep saying. Didn't want to say there's no way to use in a ps5 in case there's some bodge to get older gen SSDs to work.
