Had to return this watch recently (bought as a gift and wife wanted a different colour) and it was just a horrible experience from start to finish. I wouldn't buy from Amazon DE again to be honest. The customs forms and hoops you need to jump through are a pain (cheers Brexit), the tracking information provided is very limited and after several weeks, I was notified that the parcel would be returned to me as it hadn't cleared customs. Received the return package, minus the watch, which had clearly been stolen. Royal Mail gave me a claims code to give to Amazon as I'd insured the parcel thankfully but they didn't seem to know what to do with that. Thankfully Amazon still refunded me as a gesture of good will.

what was the issue with your galaxy watch?

Lost connection constantly with my phone, messages wouldn't come through.

Had to keep going on my phone to reconnect to the watch which made it basically useless other than being a step tracker and a watch

I agree about the battery life. I got one free with my fold3. Give up wearing it now as it does my head in that it needs charging everyday. If you want to wear at night to track sleep and wear all day to track health, you can't. Everyday it will need to be charged. The only way around is to turn off some of the health trackers but then it just becomes a regular watch which isn't what I wanted. I'm baffled when people say the battery life is good on this. I had a Huawei 2gte which I sold when I got this and that used to last well over a week.

How do you get the 'Pay in GBP' option?

I think you will get that by default when you set shipping address in UK,

    Babs_Mitchell0223/05/2022 10:31

    Is it free to return

    yes, regular amazon policy applies.

Return policy: Returnable within 30 days of receipt

    Frasizer23/05/2022 10:21

Does anyone know how returns work with ordes like these from Germany/Spain?

should be same as UK amazon. You raise a return from orders and get a return label. you will need to then ship[ it. (edited)

If it was stolen whilst in the mail, surely you just claim from royal mail yourself and cancel your return ?

same here, i will think twice before i purchase electric item from EU AMZ. I purchased watch 4 and the watch had issues with the dial. I returned the watch for repair and the watch never arrived the AMZ warehouse. although AMZ refunded me the money but the time wasted plus I still needed to buy another watch else where for a higher cost.

You have to sort the postage out yourself initially to Slovakia or Germany. Not difficult just use royal mail tracked to whichever address they give you.

But they should reimburse the postage.

Tempted. The 44mm works out about £145 and would be delivered at the end of the month but I’ve not carried on and bought one yet….

I understand that Samsung are unlikely to honour warranty’s for these if used in the UK because it’s supposedly not intended for sale here. That doesn’t worry me so much as Amazon DE would probably sort a dodgy one, by the looks of things.

Anyone know if it would still get updates or would they be blocked, perhaps, for the same reasons?

Update - ordered one direct from Samsung so paid a bit more but though it worked fine (even with Google assistant once that downloaded) I'm returning it. So big (and I'm not tiny) - like having a dinner plate on my wrist. Also it didn't play well with outdooractive - though to be fair that's more an app issue currently). (edited)
