Silly price for a 2TB TLC NAND drive! (edited)

The only English review filtered for this particular model is not very good

    And?

Please point me in the direction of an SSD that has not had any faluires.

Also, him buying 2 drives at the same time and them both being faulty is massively unlikey.
What's more likely is that he has no idea what he is doing.
Probably installed them and they didn't show up in Windows because he hadn't initialised them and created partitions (or he works for another budget brand, lol).

I've installed a few of these drives over quite a long period of time, never had one fail or have any other problems yet. (edited)

Is the warranty UK based or have to be sent to Asia?
    Anybody know?

Well the first year you'll deal with Amazon.
I know SP have a branch in the Netherlands, whether you ship RMA'd parts to them or not I have no idea (I've not had a single SP drive fail yet ). (edited)

    Reliable or to avoid?

Not had a problem with our SP drive.

Only if you really need higher sequential speeds for transferring large files frequently, otherwise you're spending the extra £7 for nothing as general performance (OS/apps/games) will be exactly the same.

Then again, if you want higher speeds and have a gen4 slot a gen4 drive would be a better option (obviously for more money).
