Just saw this offer. Works with Karche washers, would expect the lance to be better than the standard Karcher offering in terms of foam density. Clearly a copy of the original PA style lance which I have used for years. I don't imagine it will last as long for dedicated deatailer but with noodle mitt and cloth, it's the basis of a good routine to clear away winter dirt.

This Pukkr Snow Foam Car Cleaning Kit is the perfect , comprehensive kit to get you started cleaning your car hands - off. The foam cannon is the most effective and easiest way to give your car a blanket of shampoo, removing dirt, grease and mud easily.

COMPREHENSIVE CAR CLEANING KIT

This Pukkr Car Foam Cannon Kit is the ideal kit for any lover of fresh, shiny paint. This perfect gift set contains a foam cannon with an adapter to allow it to fit to a Karcher pressure washer, yellow wax applicator, microfiber mitt, microfiber towel and a chamois leather. Simply add your car shampoo of choice and you're ready for a spotless ride.

FOR BEST RESULTS

First rinse your car off with water, working from top to bottom to remove the majority of loose dirt and mud.Next, fill your Pukkr foam cannon with the car shampoo of your choice, you only need around 250ml for each car, the 1L capacity is plenty for 3-4 washes. As the soap drips down your car it will pick up dirt and grease from your paint, however to create a great finish we recommend using the included microfiber wash mitt to agitate any stubborn dirt. Work from top to bottom, and use straight movements, not circular, the deep microfibers will pickup and retain dirt preventing any scratches to your paint.Next rinse your entire car off from top to bottom using water to remove any leftover soap from your now spotless paint. Finally use the microfiber towel and chamois leather to comprehensively dry your car, remove any leftover water droplets on windows or paint to stop any watermarks after your car has fully dried. NOTE: This is not a Karcher product but it is compatible with the Karcher range.

Specification:

  • Size: 1L Capacity - 29cm (Height) x 21cm (Nozzle Length) x 8.5cm (Canister Width).
  • In the box: Foam Lance with black karcher adapter, Yellow Sponge Pad, Car Cleaning Glove, Microfiber Cloth, Chamois Leather
  • 2 Year Guarantee.

These are the cheap generic gun you can get everywhere and, as others have said, is available at all sorts of prices. If you search around you can pay less than this, particularly if you don't mind long shipping times. You can sometimes find them with a short trigger gun included for around a tenner but that's not as common as it was.

They do a perfectly good job, only thing that could be considered a real minus is the tall bottle is not very stable when you want to stand it on the ground, some are available with dumpy bottomed bottles which cures this. One thing to bear in mind if you have a low powered pressure washer, like a lot of the 'bargain' ones that appear on here, is you may have to change the jet size to get it to foam properly, there's plenty of guides on YouTube to show you all about that.

You can still use the 8 below (or any foam I have had) through the pump sprayer at a reasonable dilution, 2% or there abouts. Not sure what dilution 8 below recommend but rarely does anyone tell you with snowfoam and it gets diluted to anything unless users work out their own pw dilution rate. That's where BH did there homework and base it on 4% for starters.

Maxolen do state the percentage on their bottle, think it's 2% as are a few others, Valet pro eventually told me 2% when I asked.
You might find it's better in certain circumstances, with warm water too. (edited)

If you have excellent paint protection like a ceramic or wax like I do you can get away with doing contact wash for maybe 3-4 months depending the type of driving distance and roads you use

Every 2-3 week quick rinse and snowfoam and blast with air dryer...sorted (edited)

Tried it before mate. BH snowfoam is good in a pump sprayer as it's thin. Eight Below is supposed to be thick and it's clinging time is how it cleans. It's not thick enough in a pump sprayer. Needs time to work. BH works in about 3 minutes.
Eight Below takes 5/10 to work.

Is there a great deal of difference between this and the soap lance/bottle you get with the karcher?!(confused)
  8. SupraDan24's avatar
I have one very similar to this except the fitting on mine that connects to the lance is made of brass. I would suggest going for one of those over plastic as it'll last a lifetime then.

Get an Autobrite lance. Way better than the Karcher one. I have both. I only use the Karcher one for spray sealant/shine products now.

Never, ever wash with a sponge, it defeats the whole purpose.

Looks the same generic lance that a few detailing companies supply with the exception that theirs is 3 times the price. I've got one similar & it does a decent job & for a tenner you can't go wrong. Good deal op!

Buy cheap, by twice. I've had these cheap ones from eBay and they're pretty poor. Went through a few before I bought the Autobrite one and it's still going strong where as the others failed after a few months. (edited)

I've bought 3 foam lances. All broken now. So will be just using pump sprayer in the future with Surfex HD. My first lance was this one and actually lasted the longest even though it was the cheapest.

In2detailing sell the same one for much more. Still got 2.5 litres of 8 below snow from... I'll bloody buy this later going back on my word

I have one and recommend rinsing out after use or it can bung up and not foam as well thereafter. There is a strip down and clean video on YouTube.

But will you get the "apparently now" best style wash mitt for a swirl free car, the noodle and the plush cloth.

Your tip with the nozzle is good because one nozzle for a full range is tricky, I think foam lances may be a little more forgiving than some accessories because they work on a pretty low pressur but there are options for those that are keen

No such thing as a "good cheap one". Unless you're prepared to pay over £25, you're not going to get one that isn't going to bung up, snap at the neck or perform how you want or any combination of the three. (edited)

Auto Snow foam is about £23 on Ebay, Surfex HD is more of a general all purpose cleaner. Both are excellent.

I want to get one of these but the new version2 but hard to convince myself as my 8+ year old autobrite snowfoam lance is still working like a dream and recently changed the orifice to make foam even thicker and also purchased the Dr dirt cone shape bottle to make it stand up better similar to this mjjc Pro
Might just get one in sales or have a second one for shampooing stage (edited)

Is there a great deal of difference between this and the soap lance/bottle …Is there a great deal of difference between this and the soap lance/bottle you get with the karcher?!(confused)

I think there are a couple of karcher bottles, one is better than the other with a dial. This deal is for a copy of the original PA lance made in Italy which I have used for years. Autobrite used to sell the PA. Not sure if they sell the PA under their own name now ( not made in Italy ?) but they seem to do well enough. However, they are more costly. Folk have mixed views on these cheap versions. As I said in the heading, it may not last as long but if you run clean water through after use and don't put pressure on parts not designed to take it, I am not sure what can go wrong. They are very simple devices. In theory, this should offer a far better level of foam than the Karcher models. Loads of people state they are happy with the cheap ones, some are not as can be seen on this thread alone. I don't think there is much risk for the sake of £10 if you want to try it.

Heya will this work with the parkside pressure washer??

Different fitting for the adapter but you should be able to get a foam Lance with the correct adapter or fit one. Just had look and found this.
In theroy, you could fit the adapter to this lannce after removing the black Karcher part.

Lol, That's the beauty of this little Kit, comes with the noodle mitt. I think there are those that still like a sponge over things but I am with you. I wouldn't even fancy the Big Red for Optimum which I use on a classic.

Dirtbusters snow foam is good. So is AutoGlym Polar Blast.

Not tried Polar but with Halfords (and of course the big A) having it, it's easy to get. Halfords often do a good price on it that invariably gets matched :D. Good reviews though and does foam, BH cleans well but disappoints a few due to lack of shaving form.
