Katelios
Get ready to sink your toes into the soft sands of Katelios’ curved beach and enjoy a refreshing dip in its bluer than blue water. This traditional fishing village is the very essence of Greece, with boat hire, dinky shops and some laid-back tavernas all yours for the taking. If you’re after an R&R sort of holiday where it’s all eat, sunbathe, repeat, this is the place for you.

Hook, line and sinker
This quaint resort is best explored by foot, so afternoons spent weaving around the tangle of streets is on the agenda. You can also walk into the hills, take a boat trip or even cast a line out and show off your fishing skills. Afterwards, sit down to fresh seafood and local wine.

Rustic retreats
A short drive or sail away, you’ll find Skala. Here, you’ll get a feel for a busier area, where the water sports options are great. Further afield, Argostoli is well worth your holiday snaps. It’s got a main square and museums, as well as the Neoclassical Kefalos Theatre for a film night.

Stayed here 1st week in July this year. Basic and very quiet the Aircon was an extra charge. Family run, very friendly with lovely bar meals - I’d deffo go again for a quiet chilled break - cheap and cheerful

About 20-24c in Oct midday, 14c at night for anyone wondering, so this is decent.
Only weird thing it has such high ratings for a 2 star, looks very plain but there must be something good about it! (edited)

Aircon until 10th Oct, so will you be 4 days without aircon?

Should be bearable if midday temps are ~24, night would be comfortable with doors / windows open like the UK I would imagine?
