Are these legal to have in a back pack when cycling

The short answer is ... probably yes.

BlackBeltBarrister addressed this in one of his videos on knife law, and whilst the knife doesn't lock in the fully extended position, as the tools are on the inside when the pliers are closed, this means that the knife blade can't be folded away fully without first opening the pliers. This is a grey area which hasn't as yet been tested by case law, and so the answer is nobody fully knows: the knife isn't designed to lock open, but nor can it be folded away without first opening the tool.

I have this tool, and whilst the other tools are a bit naff, the pliers are decent for a folding multitool. I am careful about what tools I carry on my person (I don't carry my leatherman skeletool for this reason).I don't carry this tool everyday, but don't fret about having it on my person in public while I go to B&Q to get something in the middle of a DIY job.

I am quite sure it is fine to carry this tool in your bag whilst on your bike.

Warning. Low quality, soft steel. Pliers bend easily. Mods why do you remove my comments. Don't promote garbage that belongs to a landfill

    That is their raison d'etre

Last I heard Mr STANLEY emigrated to the far east.
Don't expect any quality Sheffield Steel in this thing.
Just get a pound shop one and write stanley on it yourself

I just had my delivery arrive which was supposed to be 1x Stanley toolbox, 1 of these knives, and 1 extension cable reel. The order came with 2x boxes, 3x knives, 0 cable reel. No idea how they managed that...

Great price. As cheap as buying in Ali, but with a brand name and a reputable seller.

Bought two, one to keep handy in the car and another for the backpack.

No Homebase shops around, but £3 for delivery is ok with this offer.

I ordered 2 yesterday for C&C in Edinburgh. When I went to pick them up around lunchtime, there were like 20 odd lying in the collection area. Also there were 15 available when I ordered and plenty in shops around, now oos everywhere. The power of HUKD (edited)

It's a shame there are some pure brainless/useless employees in the customer services team, such as Fatima, who cancelled my order just because I don't have a common last name, that she couldn't seem to read. 😡
