sorted byNote these mods are not practical yet for our use, and the vids are probably a little bit dishonest, but even so the tech is evolving rapidly, and in the near future open world RPGs are going to have astonishing interaction. AI voice synthesis, now almost perfect, allows Skyrim modders to solve the 'voice acting' 'problem', and even offline AI can be used to generate vast amounts of baked dialogue. But mods that allow real conversations with NPCs are going to take immersion to a mind-blowing place, and I'd guess we'll have viable versions within three years.
