I am in the fortunate position where I have to travel to Stockholm a few times a year for work. I highly recommend it, it’s a beautiful city and never fails to impress. Also, seek out “Aifur” - a Viking themed restaurant, great fun

It's lovely - I frequently went via Skavsta Airport with Ryanair for £20 return back in the day.
Arlanda is thankfully much closer (with a direct train link) if more expensive.

Some of the retail prices are actually cheaper than the UK, the food and beer are roughly London prices (it being the capital city) with spirits much higher.

Stockholm is great. I'm not sure about this hotel but Scandic hotels are chefs kiss. Fly to Arlanda > Arlanda express train straight into Stockholm centre. Stockholm itself is pretty safe, much safer than any UK city imo. it's a very nice place, amazing history (check out the palaces and vassa museum) and great food in the old town (gamlastan) . You go outside of Stockholm city (near the arena or one of the palaces) and it starts to look like the Gaza strip.
I see people comment "it's expensive" It's really not more expensive now, things are pretty much the same price as the UK.
Can you do all the main attractions of Stockholm in 2 days, probably not. I'd say 4 full days it's possible. The ghost tour in gamlastan was a riot, definitely book that if you can.

you dont have to take checked luggage, up to you really, you could just take hand luggage but you have the allowance included if you need it (edited)

Check which airport they are going to Arlanda (Stockholm) is a long way out and can be an expensive transfer - I always found Stockholm reasonable for food but drinks expensive (slightly more than Copenhagen) - but I guess Nice and Dublin not cheap either!

When I flew with BA to Stockholm in September it was to Arlanda. Downloaded the SL transport app and bought a pass to use throughout Stockholm (but not on the Arlanda Express train).

Any similar deals but for 3 nights? You don't get a huge amount of time there when you factor in flying days
    Pavioj's avatar
Just click through and change duration to 3 nights

Shame BA’s website is horrendous and I keep getting a ‘Sorry we’re experiencing a high volume of traffic right now’ message which doesn’t even put you in a queue, you just have to randomly keep refreshing to see if it works.
Literally trying to book but about to give up, shocking website on several counts!

Having stayed in the Blique Nobis hotel in Stockholm I can say that the breakfast is excellent.

One of the best breakfasts I've had in a hotel.

Theres quite a number of 4* hotels with breakfast for Prague included, I thought the Pentahotel looked a decent option

A post above reminded me of the SL transport app that I downloaded and bought a transport pass with before I got to Stockholm. Worked out good value for the trips we did around Stockholm. Just activated the pass once I got out of the airport (Arlanda) and used it for the rest of the trip. Not valid for the Arlanda Express train though which is the fastest train between airport and the city but easy enough to use another route.
