Am I correct that it's 2 people max, so no kids? Can't seem to add more than 2 adults or 1 adult and 1 child

yes appears to be max 2 per room, cross checked on booking.com and wont allow more than 2 per room.

Stopped here, great location, ask for a view of the mersey. Nice hotel as well. I'm tempted.
