I used to frequent Subway almost every day, but the spark has simply gone for me.

Now only go there about once a month, if that. They just haven't done much to keep me there, and haven't even thought about increasing their veggie options. All you have is the veggie delight and veggie patty.

Local independent wrap/sandwich street food stalls with a larger variety of fresh ingredients like chickpeas, homous, falafel, red cabbage etc are my go-to places now. So much tastier.

    Completely misguided view on vegetarianism.

Besides, I'm not a vegetarian or vegan - I'm a meat reducer. Or as the hippies call it, a 'flexitarian'.

Only eat meat once a week, because I do LOVE a Domino's on a Tuesday.

These guys are a bunch of cowboys. I have gone to take up an offer at an eligible store and been turned away. I am not the only one this has happened to. They are a law onto themselves.

Subways are too expensive and too stingy with the salad now.

You must be the most unimaginative person on hot deals ever. I'm not a vegetarian but I can assure you that vegetarian food is tasty and filling and consists of more than 'grass'.

80% off the stores are not taking part even though they are Subway. Might as well be called Sabbway.

had a subway yesterday - got the offer. not had one in years.... my oh my, how theyve changed!

they now leave a gap on a footlong in the middle of the sandwich (about 10% gap...). less meat on a BMT... very little salad and she pulled a face when i asked for more... and if you wanted it toasting it costs you more...

and they even had a word when i tipped my pepsi away (flat) and filled up with an orange from the machine.

    bring back old subway!

...80% off (sic) the stores are not taking part

Actually, there are 211 non-participating stores and 2388 participating stores. That gives a figure of 92% participating, and 8% not participating.

    Good deal. (edited)

Very tempted, our local is one of the cowboy lot tho.... recent Metro deal (3 vouchers), used one.. ok... went in a week later to use second (within validity date) they said it didn't accept it. Contacted Subway via website, they a couple of days later came back to me saying apologies, it should work, try again, tried again and denied as it was then past expiry date (they'd replied past expiry date). Showed the emails on my phone, was told I couldn't have it unless I wanted 2 hours for the manager to come in.

    I declined. Grumble.

Do I go on a wander to the next store a mile away instead.... tempted...

  33. jinkssick's avatar
Not being accepted is a very common occurence. Bunch of clows. I have tried to use in high street stores not in hospitals or inside shopping centres. Namely the Peckham one, Clapham, Early one and a few others dotted around the UK. You take them a Coupon which they should accept and they flat out refuse. Its like you taking food from their mouths. No more.

Same, here in Swansea we have something called The Falafel Stall in Swansea Market. Delicious wraps and salad boxes at prices much cheaper than Subway and the quality is far superior. It's because of this place that I very rarely go to Subway any more.

Not expensive if you get meal deals or other deals such as student, I can pay £3 for anything but premium sub, crisps, and a drink for £3 and have a few free refills too, as for the salad you ask for more as they are meant to do, ones at my local know I like extra cheese for example so don't charge me for that.

Would it be double points on a fresh app? You get double points first 30 days of app use so in theory open a new account = free sub x 3

That is a bit extreme but I am also meat eater. I can eat a vegetarian meal no problem but Im a sucker for greasy fried chicken, a t bone, ribs, garlic infused lobster. They would not like to see my nan back home, she grabs the chicken by the neck and spins and spins it until its gone. Thatll make a veggie quicker than you can say the word.

I'm not sure if it's the bread they use or the cheap fillings that sit on display all day. Don't get me wrong, it's a decent deal and if you're on the go and need a quick bite it'll do. But anyone who goes out of their way to eat Subway needs to reevaluate their priorities!
