It's a bit premature really. There will be better prices, and likely with extras, the usual keying or whatever.

Hot for the game but the price it’s not anything hot

I hope this is placeholder art. Don't know why nintendo love adding un-textured parts to their box art

    It's a homage to this

    Developed with Square Enix…nice!

The original was developed by Square Enix.

This is just a fairly straightforward remake of it.

Personally, I think the original is still plenty attractive so not really sure why so much effort went into remaking this instead of just offering an emulated port version with some enhancements.

What a time to be a Mario fan, really. I never played this game back in the day, really looking forward to it.

I had a corrupt ROM in the early 2000s, that wouldn't progress past a certain part of the game.
Maybe this is my chance to redeem myself and finish the game

I (perhaps foolishly) presumed this would be a £15 download-only game. It's a SNES game with a new lick of paint!

Emulated it ages ago and it was a good game. Not sure I'd pay £43 for the same game just for updated graphics though. Kind of sad the times we live in.

'Updated' is the right word as well. I dont even consider the visuals here to be an actual upgrade, outside of literal technical elements. The original still looks great.

Not a fan of how obsessed publishers are with remakes nowadays. Remasters were a bit more understandable cuz the opportunity cost of doing them was minimal, but remakes require extensive effort and absolutely mean we're getting plenty of remakes in lieu of getting actual new games. (edited)
