8% Quidco knocks a bit more off.
Firstly, excellent service by Swan and Evri but a couple of initial concerns about the item that was delivered.
A fair amount of damage to the exterior of the box, but the seals were intact and, upon initial inspection, the contents appear undamaged and complete. Once thing I have noticed is the user manual, at least, may have been stored in damp conditions - The two staples are almost rusted through. Of course, it could just have been put together with rusty staples as there's no evidence to suggest the manual itself has got damp and there's no rust staining to the paper. There's no evidence to suggest the manual has been read. There's also no evidence of any dampness to the machine and its components, so this may be due to the manual being added after the machine was originally packed at source (different manual for different markets), however, the machine is fitted with a UK plug.
If you've bought one of these as a gift, you may want to consider this before wrapping and to avoid any possible embarassment later. For info: The manual is placed at the top of the box and external to the internal expanded-polystyrene packaging, so you can examine it or even remove it without disturbing the main contents.
If anyone is wondering, the supplied mug is 13cm tall (without the lid) and is uninsulted. I used it with one of these from Asda @ £6.00 which is about 3mm taller without the lid. It wouldn't take anything much taller, though.
