The discs that are being sold in 99p stores are a standard espresso with different 'iced disc' barcodes on them instead of the normal ones. You brew them over ice. The barcode makes the drink come out more concentrated so that they achieve the stated volume when combined with ice. There are iced disc inserts that Tassimo gave away free that you use in conjunction with regular espresso /hot choc/ cappuccino / tea discs to brew iced drinks. The iced disc inserts override the barcode on the disc and produce a more concentrated drink that, when brewed over a stated amount of ice, results in a perfect strength chilled drink.

OK I have answered my own question, I printed a 60ml espresso barcode and stuck it over the barcode on one of these pods. I then warmed some milk and then used the pod, I am now drinking a strong latte.

Going to clear the shelves of my local 99p store tomorrow.

Best instant ice coffee makes Krüger. Just add cold milk - to die for! And all sort of flavours.
Unfortunately unavailable in UK unless bough online from mainland Europe.

There are 16 discs in the pack.

They come with one disc label to attach to your pods

On the pack it doesn't mention anything about needing an Ice disc and there is no label included in the pack, the instructions on the pack say put ice cubes in your glass/cup, insert the pod into the machine and press Go.
