Sounds a great deal...this or giffgaff...99% UK coverage since Tesco … Sounds a great deal...this or giffgaff...99% UK coverage since Tesco share O2's network but then so do giffgaff. I'm going from £30 pm to much less either way.Bye, vodafone.Do giffgaff notify you when you get to the end of the 30 days or that you need to top-up?

i get a text from them a couple of days before my goodybag is due to run out as for payg credit i don't know as i've always been on a goodybag, also the bags last for a calender month not 30 days, so it will need renewing on the same date each month

I've just got off the phone, my £35 iPhone 4 contract ended this month so I've been waiting for a good SIM only deal (I was about to activate my giffgaff SIM until seeing this deal).

Anyway, I asked for this deal, they were happy to give it me, however she was pushing for me to accept the iPhone SIM only deal. When I asked why I should (with it being £2.50 more for 500 less minutes) she couldn't really give me an answer other than "we recommend the iPhone SIM only deal to guarantee compatability with iPhone". Even she agreed in the end that there was no reason why I couldn't have this deal. The only thing you do get with the iPhone SIM only is BTOpenzone, but I've used it maybe once in the year I had the iPhone contract so won't miss it.

Just some advice, anyone who has an iPhone and they are pressuring for the iPhone deal, just stand your ground, there is no reason you can't have this deal. (Although they won't send a microsim with it so if you are a new customer you'll have to cut down the standard SIM).

Seems like they would charge 60p per MB after you exceed data, most sim only plans are only 500 MB nowadays, suppose you have to watch data usage

    To be expected really because
For only £10 get 250 UK minutes, unlimited UK texts and unlimited mobile Internet for one month. Plus, you will still benefit from our free giffgaff to giffgaff calls and texts on top of that.
  6. quizmaniac's avatar
If you need 750 mins this is excellent but if you can manage with 250mins and prefer free data giffgaff for £10 a month with no contact is the better option.
  7. KTy's avatar
not bad, giffgaff is your other option though on a PAYG, 250mins, unlim. texts/internet for £10 a month. Hot anyway.

anyone got a different telephone number I could try other than 0800 433 … anyone got a different telephone number I could try other than 0800 433 4990? or another way of getting this for the iPhone?

Order it on the standard SIM and cut the SIM down to microsim size. Its easy to do with a pair of sharp scissors and a Microsim template. If you aren't confident order a few free PAYG SIMS to practice on.

Or, you could order a microsim cutter from eBay for under £4 delivered. These work very well if you aren't confident cutting.

Or just get the normal SIM then go into any Tesco Store with a Mobile department and they will swap it over for free, that is what I did.

I believe any plan with data is suitable for iphone but don't hold me to it but thats what i was planning on suing it for off course for a iphone 4 you'd need a micro sim. Also with this sim you don't get the BT Open Zone wifi access but thats not a big deal to me

Not sure what they've got to brag about. Even their £15 tariff doesn't give you anywhere near the number of minutes this gets you.

this is an excellent deal, as for giff gaff, its a poorly couple of hundred mins, 500MB data is enough for most people, remember at the end of the day, when you are home, in the office etc, the phone automatically uses wireless, u only use data on the move, when u r out etc. this is an excellent deal.

    Any one know about quidco?

I have an iphone and was really looking at getting this but iphone users have to pay £15 for 250 mins so i am better off staying with 02. Shame because i would have happily paid the £12.50 a month for me and both my boys since you can cap the tarriff.

I have this contract in my Iphone, after my first 12month Iphone contract was up I changed it to this as I never went over 500mb and Im on it every day and tether it to my Ipad so for me its more than sufficient. Also the BT openzone never worked for me on my tesco iphone contract so I dont miss what i never had.

All of these sort of deals work with iPhones . It's just a rip off these so called " iPhone tariffs "

No you dont thats only if you pick the iphone sim contract, which only has BT openzone as an advantage. Im on this contract with Tesco on my iphone since August.

Spoke to a chat adviser on this one and she said if i was to put the sim into a iphone the internet wouldn't work, so not sure if its true or not?

My contract ends in 2 weeks, can someone simply explain giffgaff to me please as it seems confusing.

    Edit:

So this sim does defiently work in a iphone 4(internet) ? Debating between this and giffgaff which seems a hassle.

Same here Stokes, i have to get something for myself, my contract ends in a month plus also 2 lots for my kids iphones, though i dont trust them with a proper contract if it can be capped. I am left with choices from giffgaff, tescos or staying with 02 as all the phones are locked to 02 and none of the other networks, orange, voda, tmobile etc work anywhere near as well in this house.

A1, some say it works, other say theres no net with iphones, i need to check because the 12.50 deal capped is great for me and the 2 boys

Internet will most definitely work...just make sure you ask for a Micro SIM if you have an iPhone 4/4S.

Still..the TMobile deal is unbeatable in my opinion. I got 600mins, 500 texts, 500mb internet (but the 500mb doesn't count for normal web browsing/email, just streaming etc and they dont charge you if you go over), unlimited landlines for £7.50 on a 12month contract. The landlines can also be substituted for unlimited texts or any other booster of theirs.... They run the deal every couple of months, best holding off until the next TMobile offer crops up, in my opinion (Stick on PAYG with GiffGaff for a bit?).
  34. mattyboy1982's avatar
This is a good deal! Don't know if I should get this or hold out for t-mobile as I've just finished a cheap 12 month contract with them and hoping they will beat this!

    Might give them a call.

Has anyone had any good deals when renewing a 12month sim only deal with t-mobile?
  35. deleted413384's avatar
check giff gaff too. Similar deal for £10 (less mins) but without the 12 month contract!

Does anyone know who Tesco use for thier network .. i used to be O2 ... is that still the case
  37. basil1492's avatar
Has anyone used giffgaff and know if it can be capped etc or is it pay as you go, cant really work it out on their site.

Does seem to be 02 on tesco according to their site

Tesco definitely use O2. I have an iphone 4 with them and its carrier is O2. It does show as "Tesco" by the signal barm but carrier in the "about " settings is o2-uk

The offer is available instore to where there is a phone shop at least. I also told the Lady i'd be using it an iphone she did not think it was an issue i did not need micro sim as i got a 3gs

All a iphone tariff has extra nowadays is it come with a micro sim and also BT Open zone if your not bothered about BT Open zone no reason for this not to work and we have an individual who keeps on saying it's working
