sorted by- Great shout. I brought the price down to £34.99 with a £10 gift card via Microsoft Rewards.
- dammit, not to sound greedy but surely there must be a way to make this much cheaper, starting price at 59.99 when others are starting at £50. regardless good dealIt's a flagship Nintendo game and considering BOTW still retails for £40+ I can see why the RRP was set at £60. I would expect that at £45 you are unlikely to regret the purchase if you like this type of game and would not expect a dramatic drop in price for a long time (if ever).
Also games have been around the £40 mark for decades and considering increase in production costs for these AAA games not too surprising to see the odd extra popular game pushing its release RRP up.
Not that I'm excited to pay more, but I understand why and I think the value (for me) is there to warrant a purchase. (edited) - If you're a member of complete savings you can buy a £45 One4All gift card (works at currys) for £36 (20% off)
- Think it's oos...
EDIT: its not, if you're having the delivery error message, just remove from basket and do it again, worked for me (edited)Thanks, that worked - I'm not seeing anywhere to add the code. It’s quite late in the process, when you get to the payment screen.
There is a small text line that asks if you want to use a voucher or code. - My only issue with Curry’s is for home delivery they just use a thin mailing bag so damage can happen and when I’ve collected in the past they keep the order sheet attached with an elastic band and I’ve seen this crease the spine on more than one occasion. These things are trivial to most rational people lol but if you are like me it doesn’t cut it (edited)mine had a sticker on the game case which was impossible to remove!! infuriating
- 2300+ heat for a £45 pre-order with no bonuses? What am I missing? It's one of the most anticipated videogames EVER with a 25% reduction on day of release and unlike other videogames, it won't drop in price much no longer how long you wait. (edited)
- Do Currys take payment up front or on dispatch does anyone know please?Upfront
- Anyone else getting a 'unable to deliver to this location' now?Getting this too now, just as I was about to order at checkout.
EDIT: Worked after a few times. Seems I had to re-add my card, maybe to do with me using vouchers as well. (edited) - The code isnt working. But if you chat to them online then they will ask you to make the purchase in full and they will refund you the difference. That's how I just placed my order. Just follow their instructions on the chat.
- Is this cheapest yet?
What are they like for delivery release day?£42 via Nintendo Game Voucher, but you've got to want/need another game to take advantage of that (it's £84 for a two game voucher), thankfully we wanted Kirby and much prefer digital, so it was a win-win. - This game looks like a rehash of BOTW, yet i am sure that is only superficial. Never played BOTW and ive had it years, roughly, how many hours of gameplay in BOTW, and could i complete it before TOTK, or should i leave it be?I've played 400 hours+ but in 50 hours you'll see a lot of it.
- Just cancelled my pre-order with Currys. Hadn't received any further update since placing the order. The live chat just confirmed that they haven't allocated stock yet and that process will happen in the next 5-7 working days. So much for a pre-order getting to you on release day eh.1) LOL
2) They don’t send updates before dispatch
3) Low level staff on chat will give generic responses
4) If you had simply waited, it would have been dispatched in time for release day
5) Read the later comments on previous preorder deals to see how they actually operate. (edited) - Cheap price, but be prepared to receive your game in a damaged case. Curry's have awful packaging and it's why I never order from them anymore, even if they are the cheapest from time to time.I've never had a broken case from Currys, I've ordered and received a fair few games over the years.
- Think id rather pay shopto an extra fiver than buy from currysShop to are not great now. TheGameCollection is £47.50
- How much is the membership for this?
- Does anyone think it will go less than this by launch time? I remember Pokémon SWSH and SV were sub £40 both. But not sure if Zelda would drop like them :-/The retail price on this game £10 is higher, so I doubt it.
- Amazing! I had nearly 80000 Microsoft Rewards points and have redeemed over 30000 and got £20 off on top of the voucher so I have paid £24.99 for this game. Could have paid £14.99 but didn’t want to redeem more points. I always use my MS points to get money off Switch games since they never drop in price. That's a great idea! Off to do the same..
- How can this get so much heat with just £2.46 off the price? :/Maybe because it's 15 quid off though, just a hunch
- I've been buying Currys gift cards from topgiftcards every time they do those extra bonuses. Managed to get it for £33 after taking into account all the cashback I earnedKeep forgetting about their giftcards, probably because compared to the savings we got accustomed to with Monese the ones at TCB are rather stingy
- Has anyone had a dispatch email?Looking through my emails from previous Currys pre-orders, I received a couple of emails around 7pm the day before launch. The item arrived around midday via DPD on launch day. (edited)
- Nice! Can't believe it's this price already, cashed in some ms rewards, and tcb tracked at 37p, absolute bargain for a new Nintendo game. That’s what they want you to believe.
- You can order a cheaper gift card for curry’s through BlueLightCard, works out at £42.98
im tempted but haven’t even started BOTW yet I know this won’t get any cheaper for years (edited)Thanks just did this. Got bored of the first one years ago but hopefully this will be better although it seems to be set in the same location - I've not completed the first game BOW, as I got bored quickly as its feels empty, dont get me wrong graphics is amazing ...so I'm debating whether I'll like the new game :/In that case I'd save your cash then. Yes, it's a new game, but I'm guessing it's done in the same vein as BOTW. If the many puzzles, side quests and discoveries from BOTW didn't resonate with you, then why would the sequel?
- Showing delivery as unavailable for me?Had the same issue on Chrome but worked fine via Incognito
- Anyone else getting that its not eligible for delivery when you go to pay?Use an incognito window, then it'll work. Garbage website.
- Wait, do we know if it's Tears of the Kingdom -or- Tears of the Kingdom? Its Tears of the Kingdom
- Got a £100 Currys voucher that I don't have much use for, think buying & selling this to CEX would be a good way to turn it into cash?
Also open to hearing if this is considered poor conduct & harmful to gamers in case it deprives them of getting it on launch day, in which case I wouldn't do it. (edited)I can’t see there being a shortage of stock, you’re only buying two copies anyway. - My pre-order just got cancelled, no reason givenJust ended a Web chat, they too confirmed to me the item is out of stock
- my TCB has been declined alreadyGlory to all CS members and enhanced 12% on Currys transactions over last weekend too 👊
- That feeling of, I won't buy in right away, I'll wait several years until nintendo drop the price by a further 5p
- Went for it. Can't imagine getting it any cheaper
- A bit expensive for a pre-ordered add-on....💤
- Almost pulled the trigger on this but I have this nagging feeling that the RRP is set high with a discount to bring it down to the normal price. Psychology!
People will see it as a bargain and buy it. Something is telling me they don't have confidence in the ratings or this maintaing it's £45+ pricetag for very long after release, therefore they're flooding the market with them.
I might be waaaay off the mark.I'm sure it's going to keep the price tag high for a long time! Breathe of the wild is amazing and ratings are very good! This will do great as it's supposed to be a very beefed up DLC.
But I believe it should have a lower price tag... - Gone for it. Got another £2.40 off by using gift cards making it £42.59 before tcb
(edited)Where did you purchase the gift card? - Can the code be used instore ?Yeah course so pop in to your local store today, tell the assistant you want a game they won't have in stock for another month and give him the code if he looks at you strange just tell him HUKD sent you.
- Thank you, moved my preorder over to them as thats £5 cheaper than i had it for previously. (edited)
- Hoping for an Amazon price matchThey still have it at £60!
- I've gone for it. £4 cheaper than my previous pre-order, then saved several quid through a work scheme and possibly some Quidco too.
- Enjoyed but wasn't overly impressed with BOTW but may get the sequal at this price I'm sure I can resell it at a decent price once completed
