Toshiba TV's used to be so good, I remember paying £300 for an ex Radio Rentals 32" CRT TV in the 90's and being made up. Now they are made by Hisense (I don't mind Hisense as I have a couple in my house currently). Either way this is a really good price for a 65" TV

Vestel have upped their game of late. The new UK4D and UK5D QLED lines have received good technical reviews and are now stocked at Costco and JL. Have seen these in action and PQ is decent for the price.
To my knowledge, for Europe the Hisense manufacturing agreement does not impact the current deal with Vestel.

I believe this TV is one of their older lines. Buying anything from Currys is definitely living on the edge, however if you're considering a purchase I'd say this TCL is better value for money:

Honestly? They’re both crap. The TV manufacturers always put the cheapest hardware inside which means they run slowly and crash regularly.

I would encourage you to buy whatever one is cheapest, then plug in your own streaming device as it will be a much better experience.

TVs with Roku built on tend to be just about fine without needing a stick. But the Android and Fire ones can be painfully slow especially after a while using it.

It takes around 1-3 seconds to power on and the UI is OK. I am using google tv.

The main thing I find is the tv struggles with football/moving objects and scans slightly.

It's a new HUKD game show called "name that price"

I'll guess and say £429... no deal, cold, same price everywhere! (edited)

I have the 43" version of this in my bedroom and it works absolutely fine. I powers up very quickly, there is no lag, the fire tv part works fine and you get double the storage of a fire stick and you can still side load apps. I haven't tried Freeview on the TV because I watch everything through the apps (no aerial in the bedroom). (edited)

Picked one of these up and actually pretty happy with the picture quality. The built in Amazon FireTV is pretty sluggish to navigate but I’ve connected mine straight up to my AppleTV so that’s not an issue.
