Electric showers get you an expensive, crappy shower. Get a hot feed from your boiler put in and it'll pay for itself in a year or two. If you must get an electric, make sure it's thermostatic - Mira azora or the 9kWh sport are good options.

If you're getting one of those don't forget it is a legal requirement to get it connected with a cord, isolation and its own RCD on your fusebox...electricity and water don't mix and it's to stop you getting electrocuted should it fail. Anyone who installs this for you without those things is a cowboy

Don't just look at the purchase price but how much installation will cost you (edited)

Interesting! I was thinking of getting one of these, but might reconsider now you've said that

Can't speak for this model ( I have triton Madrid 2) and always found pressure to be good. 10 minute shower uses 1 .4 kw. Do the math.

A lot of people now take 3 or 4 minute showers to save on the energy bill - Stand under shower for a minute or so to get warm & wet, switch shower off, soap yourself and then shower on again for a minute or 2 to rinse off.

It does take away the pleasure of a long hot shower, but over a year can save a small fortune!
