Great price to Orlando, Florida (Melbourne Airport). TUI has a calendar I linked to, which should show flights. They are from LGW, Birmingham, Bristol or Manchester. Plenty of dates departing end of this month, and returning mid October.

Is Florida worth visiting if you don't have any interest in theme parks? Are there any examples of things to do within easy reach of this airport?

Key West is a stunning drive but easier from Miami.

How long to Orlando from this airport? Didn't they used to fly into Sanford

From Melbourne to I-drive is about 1hr 20 on the Tui coach. Quicker if you hire a car.
Whilst it’s further out that Orlando MCO (about 20 mins away) airport it’s a lovely, small, friendly airport that tend to process you through very quickly.
Ive done both several times and would personally choose the Melbourne option all things being equal.

Orlando is inland, Tui has the wrong picture.

TUI doesn't fly to Orlando, they fly to Melbourne, which does have a beach. So in fact the picture is correct, the description is wrong (edited)

If I just wanted to fly into this airport and spend a week somewhere that isn’t Disney, where would you recommend? Thanks

Clearwater/St Pete's Beach is good or Key West area as others have mentioned
