thanks for sharing the link to our video on this. It really is an excellent KVM and the USB3 makes a big difference as does the 4K support

In the pic, is it the desktop control that flicks between the devices? Is it pretty reliable? I need to connect my work laptop and home pc to one monitor and single keyboard and mouse if possible. Thanks.

Yes exactly. You connect your monitor into HDMI out, keyboard and mouse and whatever else in the front. You then connect your laptop and home PC in via the HDMI in and USB in connectors. When you click the switch button it will switch between your two devices and you will have control of that device like normal.

You need to make sure that both you home PC and laptop have HDMI out connections.

If this supported dual 4K monitors, I would have given it a shot. Do like UGREEN products.

    Impressive for the price.
The 3rd USB which is not offered by high end enterprise ones is great.

Enables wiring a monitors USB ports into the hub.

One thing to be aware of with the cheaper KVMs like this is that when you switch it effectivly disconnects the monitor from the source you're switching from and connects it to the one you're switching to. More expensive ones maintain a virtual monitor connection to the inactive link.

The difference is that it will make your computers reconfigure themselves everytime you switch which not only takes longer (you can see there are some cuts in the the video above to hide this) but also will move any open windows icons etc off the disconnected screeen to the remaining screen.

This might be fine for some but it get VERY annoying if you're trying to be productive and switching frequently.

You have to pay a LOT more for KVMs which simulate the monitor connection on the devices not being controlled which avoids this issue.

Any you recommend which don't do this? (Ideally ones which support dual 4k monitors would be great).
