sorted byim glad someone has visited every square meter of the uk, tested signal strength for all UK carriers and then taken the time to report back on HUKD. Thanks for your efforts
However and I know this will not apply to everyone...if you go to a highly populated area like a festival or also in my case a cricket match with a full house you get kind of cut off.
At the cricket in particular during the whole match I had no data, could make no calls and was getting nothing incoming either.
After the days play I get far enough away to join the next mast or whatever and my phone bursts into life.
Basically all EE users were fine and get to use those services struggling off 1 mast or whatever but Virgin as they were just piggy backing are demoted to nothing.
This happened on several occasions and it was too much of a coincidence.
I contacted them and they denied all knowledge but it's clear you are treated not the same as a EE customer on their signal.
As I say wondering around town shouldn't be an issue but concentrated areas beware.

so sorry, my signal went before I could finish
Also - The deal is for all customers new and old
If only they had a website you could check.....
I think it would be better if you asked a real person on their excellent customer service team that are always so polite and well informed.
I cant call three today to find out but wondered if there were any success stories as i'll give them a call tomorrow...!

I feel sorry for all those who cannot read the OP or use Google.

If you're an existing Virgin customer, you get free Virgin to Virgin calls. Not really much, but they probably won't do more than that. Or at least didn't when I tried.
The funny thing is, this deal is already £10 off, and nothing on a rolling contract touches it. No non-retention 12 month contract SIMO deals do either really. So even at £15 it's a good deal. Yet people still wondering if they should haggle.
Sometimes things are worth what they cost.

It's typical BS from ill-informed idiots who will try and retain your custom at any cost. Virgin won't throttle or downgrade data speeds.
Also do Virgin allow tethering?
Yes they do
So that is all you have to say really poor signal-presume you mean where you live-on virgin mobile and fine where I live,so like the last person said have you visited every square metre of the uk-please do your research before posting stupid comments.
It's not like-for-like, as Virgin customers network use is lower priority than the EE customers because they're sharing for a discount.
No issues in East London. 4G pretty much everywhere and speeds are good.
they have had 4G for a few months now.
The same here I called them to complain but they said it's royal mail even though it was delivered by royal mail but processed by UK mail. If they used Royal Mail it would've been a lot cheaper for them and quicker for us.
Got Unlimited Minutes, Unlimited Texts and 20GB Data for £14.99 with EE.
Cheers.
What are you on about?
If your using the deal as leverage to get a better deal with your original network that's great but remember your committing to a new 12 month contract with your network with no data rollover or free WhatsApp and Messenger.
The Virgin deal is ideal if you want the flexibility to change networks at short notice or with price increases unlike if your tied into a 12 month contract.
If so this contract isn't worth looking at since their 3g speeds are slow.
Moved from EE to this deal, drop in speeds to about a third but as I get good EE coverage did not make much difference
A disconnected number goes in a pool for 6 months, it can only be retrieved by pooling network for the customer who last had it.
After 6 months the pool is emptied and the original issuing network is handed it back.
BT Genie and later o2 did this with me on a unlimited data sim and a Platinum number. Only later did I find out from ADR this could be done.
Same as you, but my number and unlimited data were transferred to a staff member who then ported their number across onto the unlimited data sim.
It is shameful Ofcom do not have a FULL code of conduct on PAC and consumers number & handling rights. o2 didn't even apologise they just said they can withdraw service or number at anytime. I boycotted them until Telefonica took over out of principle.
Mistakenly it was a o2 staff member who told me what happened, I hope she didn't get fired - because the thief didn't and I never got my unlimited data back. You would have thought o2 seen what that staff member done was gross misconduct and immediate dismissal, but no they kept their job and I lost my number and unlimited data.
