Boots, Amazon (Day here, Night here) and Sainsburys have the Q10 Power 60+ Day and Night Creams for £6.99 from Boots - £7 from the others, the moment :) (Mum was looking for it). The NIVEA Q10 Power 60+ Anti-Wrinkle Face Oil Moisturiser Serum 30ml is £9.99 at Boots. The 60+ range seems a bit more expensive than the "regular" Q10 Power range. Savers seems to have the 60+ Day and Night Creams for £6.99 too (from the in store picture above, from 10th March), though their website is offline temporarily.

louiselouise

Another FYI, but Q10-related, here's the Nivea Q10 range/prices available in Savers, as of this afternoon:

louiselouise

Just a FYI.. Mum says her eyes nip with the Lacura face cream, but thought I'd put this 79p Q10 Hand Cream in with her Mother's Day gifts. Has sunscreen as well!

cheaperbythe12

Thanks. Bought for the missus. Good find. (y)

louiselouise

Note that the Day and Night Cream are the same price, and slightly cheaper (by 5p, at £5.45!) for one-time purchase. Subscribe & Save was £5.22, it's now £5.18 (4p difference).

Lower protein than what I used to be taking in. This thread is about protein powder. What I'm saying is you don't need the extra protein(protein shakes) if you're on keto diet you'd be getting enough protein from the keto diet. For me it's eggs. For other people on keto they'll be eating bacon, pork belly and meats. So they shouldn't be throwing protein shakes on top of that. I'll probably have one protein shake after the gym. Whereas on a non keto diet, three protein shakes and more protein rich meals would be the norm. But that's too much protein for a keto diet.

Try carb cycling or completely fasting on occassions. Look into it. Not possible to explain in detail here. Worked well for me. Needs will power though.

rs_tigerblade

Absolutely not, unless you’re really hammering protein! Your body shouldn’t live on fats alone. depends what you think is ‘high protein’ I guess! And what kind of excel use you’re doing.

Paulski_

So you're on a low carb diet *and* a low protein diet? You're trying to survive on fats alone, that can't be healthy.

40g of protein per 100g is a bit too low. Decent one's are anything betwen 70 to 90g per 100g. starbargains.co.uk/product/maxi_muscle_promax_lean_strawberry_protein_powder_990g/5063 This was posted about a week ago here. It has around 70g protein per 100g.

25g is more than enough per serving, My Protein and Bulk Powders generally have 21g. As a rule of thumb 1g:1g is good.

Is this rammed with sugar? If it's low sugar I'm trying it.

SaltyCDogg

Don't recommend these mixtures that contain carbs for most people. Reason they can sell it cheaper is its got a lot of filler in. BCAA is pointless in a protein powder and ZMA is a waste of time as well.

Jordan_Taylor

Packed with extras just means protein spiking, the extra bcaa's and creatine are in there to increase the protein content when it is sent for the testing of the nutritional value, protein nitrogen spiking

SteHuz90

Good price but the flavours are a bit ropey, especially the strawberry. Heat added.

This must be old stock as they sell them in 908g tubs now as far as I can see.. if you are looking to add some good quality protein to your diet and are not too fussed about the additional carbs this is a decent price.. however if you are conscious of counting macros to the letter and have specific goals that include not having excess calories then it is a bit of bump just to get 25g protein... however it does mix well and taste good so to each their own..

The Leucine in Whey will spike insulin on it's own. The Dextrose is purely to restore muscle Glycogen. A lot of people use sugar of some sort for that but sugar is part fructose and fructose can't be used for muscle Glycogen.

redwing5

Yes very good mixture. The dextrose will give you an insulin spike help shuttle nutrients to the muscles and the whey and casien long and short digesting protiens.

Smadmad

I have been mixing Whey, Casein and dextrose post work out and had great results from that

redwing5

Lol at the stupid comment. Casein one of the worst proteins utter rubbish. There no bad or good protein. Casien is a very slow digesting protein so it's not good for post workout, for that you should be looking at a fast digesting protein like whey. Casein is fantastic for night time as its very thick and will keep the muscles fed through the night. Any serious muscle builders will take a slow protein like casein or quark before bed. It's also good to mix with a whey so you get a mix of slow and fast proteins post training especially if your not going to be eating for a few hours.

Smadmad

Why is it the worst? I use it nd it's been good for me

Jammer

You should have 25% of your daily protein intake 30-90 minutes after exercise. In this post-training window, your body sucks up protein like a sponge and converts it to new muscle almost twice as fast as other times. Whey also ranks first in its ability to feed muscles faster than any other protein type. Whey protein is absorbed really quickly in the blood, within 15 to 20 minutes. Source

Mark_A

Has the deal ended? It just seems to knock 40% off now..

countcrackula

Dont need to eat lots of meat or powders to get your protein. I eat greek yoghurt, skyr, soft cheese spreads and high protein fromage frais. Could also try some Cottage cheese, quark, lentils, beans.... Plenty of cheap sources. Thats just a tip though get it any way you want. I would recommend protein works over myprotein though. They were cheap last time i bought protein powder and most importantly the flavour was far superior. I got sick of the aftertaste of powders though so thats why i switched to yoghurts.

CardboardCutout

This is what is on my laptop

dlo247

The very quick answer is this product isn’t protein, which anybody looking to build or maintain muscle needs to consume (the amount depends on the goal and workload), rather this is another naturally occurring substance which can help you to endure longer while training. That’s an extremely simplified answer though. There’s a lot of good info online and as you’re a cardio guy it could be useful. But you wanna look at the basics of nutrition as pertaining to your exercise and goals. A little extra of any of these substances won’t directly give an active person moobs tho :) The first thing to figure out for your goal is how many calories you need to achieve your goal. Consume less than you need to maintain your current physical state, and you should get leaner. Again, very simplified.
