This or wait for another 15% Voucher off a Vitus Nucleus VRS? ~£100 lower

The Vitus has a Suntour fork, no contest - would get the Whyte.

But if your budget is £100 less than get the Vitus.

Everyone will have a different opinion. I think it is a wicked buy for the money. But set yourself a budget and stick to it. You can always get a better bike for slightly more whatever your budget!

Worth every penny this bike it will punch above it's weight, Whytes are amazing I've had two of them (currently got a 909)

Absolute heat for this it's a bargain, kinda jealous this has a 2x chainring I wish my 909 had one (edited)

I ordered one on Saturday evening got the dispatch email in the early hours of this morning.
It is just going to be used as a general purpose bike within the local area. Seemed like a decent spec for a good price. (edited)

It's a wicked bike, I wanted one but got to be strong, not buying any more bikes Make sure you take it off road too when the weather is nice! I love cycling through the forest

I have a Whyte 2022 model can't remember what it is I bought it to use on a Wahoo Kickr Core which I did do. Apparently I am a numpty and should be using it on the road. So the cassette is back on the Whyte the Whyte is back together and I am swapping the cassette to my Raleigh potato so I can use that instead. I did put Schwalbe tyres on my Raleigh though I am doing this bike thing all wrong.

Like the other Whyte bike, why are they using cup and cone hubs?

    Awful choice.

Because they purposely went out of their way to bother you

ok - this or Vitus Sentier (was £550 when 15% off voucher was live - hopefully again soon)

I had really been looking for a 29 but this seems a great deal...how would they compare?
    shocks better on Whyte
larger diameter/wider wheels tyres on Vitus (rims ready for tubeless) - big deal?
    better boost hubs on Vitus?

    opninions?

Getting a vitus nucleus vrs with dropper delivered today. Tempted to refuse delivery and get this instead. Is the fork that much better ? My son won’t be hitting the trails that much. It’s just for pottering around

He probably won't notice the difference. He will love the Vitus too.

Damn, just seen these deals at HoF and the code has expired! Don’t suppose anyone knows of any other house of Fraser or Evans codes?

Wonder what the weights of these bikes are - bike sites always seem reluctant to post the weight in the specs
    This.Is.Dog's avatar
    This.Is.Dog Author
I would guess 12-13kg. Probably closer to 13 actually. A Suntour fork is 3kg and a decent RockShox is under 2.
