Owners of the base game will get the base game upgrade on Series X/S.

Ray tracing is a definite yes. No word on fps that I could find but load times are apparently near instant with fast travel. (edited)- AuthorI think that if you buy this version, you get all the goty dlc for free with the upgrade...

I just checked. With the series x and s upgrades the dlc will be free to those that own wild hunt.... even more of a bargain! 
It's a shame this isn't cross save with Switch version. Would like the option of jumping between the Switch and Series X. I do wonder if seeing the graphical leap would make it difficult to go back to Switch
Late to party myself on this game. Got it at start of 1st lockdown. Sunk 263 hours on the goty for ps4. Best game I've ever played. It really is an amazing game. Well worth the money! 😁

that's how I read it so took the chance on the standard edition
My code wouldn't work on my xbox kept saying error but worked fine by logging in on pc and now downloading to xbox which was a bit weird

The lack of cross save is stopping me buy this on PS/Xbox. The game is awesome and I would love to continue my NG+ on console but need to be able to resume playing on PC when my wife wants to watch TV. I don't want a Switch although I came close to buying one just so I could play Witcher 3 on it. It is one of the best games of all time.

Yeh I think that's the main thing that will have me playing the PC one.
Great price that, I'm gutted I paid 15 for it this weekend from cex. Nevermind only played a few mins of it so far but looks like it has high productions values and the reviews are great. Cheers for that, yeah I picked up the GOTY edition from CDKeys that's also listed on here for a few quid more.- Henry Cavill build his Ryzen PC in lockdown to play The Witcher game
Worth it for gwent alone, Witcher 3 is hands down the best game of the current gen
